Tension filled the room, Alex seemed confused whilst Sapnaps face was twisted somewhere between anger and bewilderment.

"Surely you're lying, George is dead Alex"

"No, correction, he was dying." Quackity chuckled, yet quickly stopped upon noticing it wasnt returned by his friend.

"Nelly is asleep! So, whatcha boys chatting about" Karl swayed into the room, dropping down onto the couch opposite Alex and Sapnap. "did i miss something?" He raised a brow at the silence.

"Alex said that George is alive." Sapnaps voice was cold, close to emotionless.

"Pardon?" Karl let out a confused chuckle, looking between the two of him.

"oh, he told me that he told you guys-" Alex nervously rubbed at his hand, keeping his eyes low.

"told us what Alex?" Sapnap spoke up.

"that he had cancer"

The room fell silent, Sapnaps face twisted once again, whereas Karl's completely dropped.

"Cancer?" Karl finally whispered, Sapnap remained silent.

Alex cleared his throat, nervously undoing the top button of his work shirt, the tie now hanging looser than before, "so, a year or so ago I had to go to Orlando regional to see a client who was  in that huge subway accident last year, he was looking to sue for negligence, which I don't blame him for, his hospital bills were through the roof- anyways the staff asked me to wait into the waiting room while they did some routine tests on my client and when I was in there I saw a guy. At first I was all creeped out like, 'woah, that looks like george' but kinda brushed it off. He looked up and his face did that weird scrunchy thing he does when he's confused yknow the-" Alex tried to mimic it, failing miserably. "Anyway- I said 'George' and it was a shot in the dark, turns out, it was him."

OCTOBER 2025

George checked the clock on the wall once again, sighing to himself, he'd been waiting for at least two hours now. What was taking the doctors so long? He took his phone out, beginning to scroll aimlessly, not bothering to look up upon hearing the waiting room door open.

A chair shifted clearly from someone sitting down, yet he kept his eyes firmly on his phone scrolling through Facebook with no real intention besides trying to cure his painful boredom. His phone flashed with a '20% battery' notification, he bit his lip switching it off and sliding it into his pocket, instead he eyed a few magazines that were scattered on the table in front of him, he looked up at the stranger sat a fair distance from him.

The guy looked familiar, like, really familiar. He narrowed his eyes trying to figure it out, long black hair tied back, smaller hairs dangling free over his forehead and eyebrows. The man was dressed in very smart attire, a possible businessman of some sort, he didn't know anyone with such an official job though.
