The doorbell ring and I sighed on relief. Talk about saved by the bell I said to myself and stood up. "That's for me." I ran to the door and opened it. "Kate! Thank god! The twins are here!" I said breathing heavily. "What! Why?" "My mom is good friends with their mom. She invited them over for dinner." I said as we walked into the dinning room.
"So Britney do you play any sports?" Mr. Dolan asked. "Not anymore. I used to play soccer and volleyball." He nodded his head and looked at Grayson and Ethan. "Grayson plays football, and soccer as well. I think you two would make a perfect couple. In fact he has a football game tomorrow at 3. Would you like to go?" He asked. "I don't see why not." I smiled.
He smiled back. "Is it all right if I'm excused?" I asked glancing at my parents. "Sure." My mom said. I picked up my plate and walked into the kitchen. Letting the hot water sit on my plate before cleaning it. "Hey." Grayson walked over to me. "Hey." I said and put the plate in the dishwasher.
"So about the game tomorrow." He scratched the back of his head. "What about it?" I asked and shut off the dishwasher. "I'm gonna pick you up at 12. Practice starts at 1, and all the guys are gonna have their girlfriends there." He took a deep breath. "What I'm trying to ask is.... Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.
My mom walked into the kitchen and paused. "I'm sorry did I interrupt something?" She asked and took a step back. "Uh... No. Kitchens all yours mom." I said and pulled Grayson into the family room. "Anyways, you were saying?" I asked and crossed my arms. "Will you be my girlfriend?" "Um yes." I said and hugged him.
