I had a date with my mind.
Sat down and recollected my thoughts.
Reminisced about the past,
analysed my present
and visualised my future.
I want to be happy.
I want to see the sunset.
I want to stargaze.
I want to see the beauty in everything.
I'm choosing happiness.
I deserve to be happy.
Happiness deserves me.
Darkness needs to be replaced by the light.
Frowns need to turn into smiles.
Cries need to turn into laughs.
I've had it with all these negative emotions.
I want to be able to love wholeheartedly.
I want to go places and explore the world.
I want to break societal boundaries.
I want to rewrite history.
I've changed for the better.
Healed from the immense heartbreaks.
I may be still learning more about myself each and everyday,
But this is me.
The brand new me.
I love her.
