Jane POV

I walked into school the next day.

I was there early to meet Izzy but she wasn't there. Maybe she was running late?

"Shes so gullible," someone snickered.

I turned my head. Then I saw it Becca and her group of friends.

"I know I know," Becca giggles. "Thinking the new kids like her. She will never be liked by anyone."

"She's pathetic," another female said.

"No parents, no home, no one to love her. She should just do everyone a favor and disappear. No one would miss her," Becca said.

I closed my eyes trying not to go over there.

"It seems like she was too scared to come to school today," a different female said.

I couldn't. I stood up but felt a hand on my arm. It was Alec, "Jane don't intervene yet," he said.

"I'm going to kill them slowly and painfully," I said to Alec.

"I know you want to but that's not the right option, we can't do it at school," he said.

I nodded and sat back down. I listened into them again.

Becca looked right at me. "Awe her little friend trying to protect her. Pathetic," she said.

"Alec give me something to talk about or anything before I go and rip that girls head off," I said.

Alec nodded "Help me with my art project?" He said.

I nodded "what is it?"

"Drawing," he said. "Were supposed to make a symbol or crest that defines us. Would it be cheating if we used ours?" He said.

"Good question," I said and looked at Demetri.

"I think it's fine as long as the whole class doesn't see it," He said.

I then looked at Felix, "Too risky,"

I looked down thinking. "This sounds totally stupid but what about a mix of our crest and the Cullens crest. "We can take out the bird from ours, leave the trees and where the birds are we can put an outlining of a lion," I paused. "Still in the V shape, and instead of a red crystal at the top we can do golden."

"Not that bad of a plan," he said.

"Yes but still can put us and the Cullens at risk," Felix said.

"Yes, I know but we will only be here a few days longer,"

He nodded and sighed it at.

I went to my first period class. Izzy was gone. "Where's the girl?" Felix said.

"I don't know," I said. "She was upset yesterday maybe she is feeling sick. Ill check on her after school," I said.

Felix paused. "Be careful with her. She will probably be devastated when we leave,"

"I know. I'll have to figure something out," she said.

He nodded.

"Maybe we can take her back with us?" I whispered.

"Then she would have to be turned against her will," he said.

"I know," I looked down. "But it may be for the best. She won't have to live every day with Becca talking shit and horrible things too. She will be where people care for her, and so she wouldn't be alone," I said.

Felix looked down. "If that's what you want to do then do it. I can tell you care for her,".

What was the change in mood? "I do Felix," I looked down.

He sighs and closed his eyes.

"I'll check in on her after school,"

"Okay," he said.

I didn't pay attention to many of my classes. When the final bell rang, I stood up and headed to my car and drove to her house.

I knocked on the door.

It took several minutes for Izzy to come down and answer the door. She was wrapped up in a blanket.

"Hi," she said quietly. She had been crying.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

"I'd prefer you didn't. I just want to be alone," She whispered looking down.

"You don't have to speak to me even. Just let me give you company so you aren't alone," I said.

"Fine," she whispered and moved over to the couch and laid down.

I followed her and sat on the recliner next to her. "Are you feeling, okay?" I asked.

"I'm just exhausted and tired of everything. I don't even want to go back to school. I'm so close to dropping out and finishing everything online," she whispered.

Becca will be no more soon.

"I've always learned don't let them win. Don't let them get you don't. They won't expect that reaction. Eventually the longer you ignore it and don't react then sooner they will stop," I said.

"I've tried that Jane. I'm just tired of it. Its daily and I'm so tired of it. It just makes me feel like I don't deserve to be alive. That I am the one that should've died in the accident," she said looking at me tears in her eyes.

I stood and moved over to her. I sat right next to her, and I pulled her close.

"I know it'll be over soon though I promise," I said. I shouldn't be telling her this, but this will all be over soon

She looked down "want me to stay the night here with you?" I asked.

"Yes," she whispered.

I nodded and held her close. "What do you want for dinner?"

"I don't really want to eat," She said.

"You need to eat something," I said.

"I know."

"Soup, crackers? Anything?"

She stood up and went to the kitchen getting a packet of instant mash potatoes.

I smiled and tried not to laugh.

"You said anything,"

"I did," I laughed a bit.

She got out a pot and boiled water putting the packet in once boiling, she mixed it with butter and olive oil. She then put it all in casserole dish.

"You're going to eat all that?"

"Maybe. Possibly," She said.

I nodded and moved into the living room with her.

"You can pick out a movie," She said.

I nodded and took the remote and scrolled through Netflix. "Umm the OA?"

"Sure," she said.

I clicked on the first episode and set the remote down placing my Arm over Izzy as she ate the large bowl of mashed potatoes.

She watched the first episode then half of the second before she fell asleep.
