Fourteen

"I want to stab her," I said

"Izzy, I can't let you do this," Jane said

"I've already made my decision, I'm doing this if you want me to or not," I said.

"Izzy you'll never forgive yourself for killing someone. You'll be traumatized. It won't help by killing her," Jane said.

"Don't you think I'm not already traumatized by Becca and her actions towards me? Being verbally abused for the past 6 months? I can't do this anymore. I need this, I need to do this, I want revenge. I want her in pain. I want closure Let me do this," I said.

"This isn't going to bring you closure. It won't heal you," She said

"Jane please let me do this," I said.

"You aren't going to take no for an answer, are you?" She asked.

"Correct, I will be doing this even if you'd like me to or not,"

She stayed quiet for a long time. "Fine" she said, clearly not pleased with me. I could see it in her face.

"So, what's your plan?" Felix asked after a minute of silence.

"I'll talk to her at school and lure her over here, then I will do the deed," I said.

"How are you going to lure her here" Felix asked.

"I don't know. I don't know, maybe I can steal some sedatives from work, and I can drug her. I can't.... She will fight, it will be an easier job if she is sedated, at least at first. I can have more fun with her."

"Izzy that's too much. I can't let you do that," Jane said.

"We can provide the sedation," Felix said.

"Felix you arent helping," Jane said, clear she was distraught with this plan.

"I have more ideas," Felix said. "She said she could handle it,"

"Jane why don't we leave the room, let Izzy handle this. I don't like it as much as you do but, she isn't going to back down no matter what you say or do" Alec said putting his arm around Jane leading, well more forceful taking her out of the room.

"You don't have to kill her you know. You could torture her before we turn her into a pet," Felix said.

"Do I want to know what a pet is?" I asked.

"A toy, a slave, we can do whatever we want with her. It's fun for us really," Felix said.

Demetri cleared his throat

"What?" Felix asked.

"I don't think she needs to know that in depth," Demetri said.

"I mean, she is now included in the vampire life. She should know, especially what to expect to see when we get back to the castle," he said. 

Demetri thought about it for a moment but nodded. "True," he said.

I heard a male's groan from a different room. Alec, he doesn't seem to be pleased with this conversation. Jane probably wasn't either.

"Felix is right, I do need to know so I am prepared on what it is like back in Italy," I said. Will I be turned into a pet? I don't think I want to even ask. 

Demetri and Felix nodded. "Very true," he sighs.

There was a smash from the other room.

"Gimmie a sec," I said holding a finger to the two of them. I headed to the kitchen where Jane and Alec were.

"Come outside with me," I took Jane's hand. I don't want to know what a vampire that loses their temper looks like.

I took her hand and led her outside then I waited for her to go at it.

"Izzy you can't do this. You're not trained for this scenario. Don't let your emotions get to you, you will regret this immediately. You don't need that burden of killing someone. You will regret this for years. I know you hate her but this isn't the answer," she said.

I stayed quiet to see if she was done. And she was.

"I want this, I'm not as innocent as you think. I've been through so much not many phases... well let me rephrase. Physical things don't phase me. I'm tired of this abuse, I'm tired of it. I want to do this. And if it looks like it becomes too much for me. I will let you stop me. But I need this. I know that torturing her doesn't seem like closure, but I need this all to come to an end. And this is the way. Then I can have a new beginning. I won't have to worry about the harassment, the abuse. I will be able to have a new life. A new life with you where everything can be perfect and I won't have to worry about anything," I took both of her hands pulling her close.

She opened her mouth to say something, but I cut her off, pressing my lips against hers.

She put her arms around me, her body relaxed. I pulled away from her and looked down at her beautiful red eyes. I never noticed her eyes were red until this moment. It must be a vampire thing.

"Better?" I asked

"No," she sighs looking up at me defeated.

"Trust me Jane. I'll be fine. If it looks like it's too much for me, you can stop me, got it?"

She rested her head on my chest listening to me breathe. "Yes Izzy," she said. She was clearly upset, and I had no true way of comforting her as the only way to, was to not do this but I had to. I have to.

"Why don't you go eat or something, destress, take a bath. I have lots of bath bombs and bubble bars in my room. Just relax, okay?" I said.

"Okay," she whispered avoiding eye contact.

I sighed and I moved away from her. "Don't listen if it bothers you," I said looking at Alec for assistance with that situation.

"Let's go hunt Jane," Alec said taking her arm gently leading her away.

I headed back into the living room with Demetri and Felix.

"So, what is your plan?" Felix said.

I took a deep breath and spit out my plan.
