Chapter 5

As I was running I called Zach, no answer.
"Cheese why isn't he answering," I asked myself but I just rolled my eyes,
"She's in here JAX get your ass up here," Smalley said, I hear the door dancing like there is no tomorrow. When the door opened, I let the gun do its thing of shooting him in the leg.

I tried to run but failed as the tall guy -named Jax- grabbed my wrist, he was taller than Chase, buff, tattoos from what I can see all over his body, buzz cut. Speaking of the Devil he shall appear, Chase came running up the stairs and saw me struggling in his hold, causing it to hurt more.

"That's going to leave a mark," I said sarcastically, not knowing the outcomes of what could actually happen. I looked at my wrist seeing it turn multiple colors, I yelled and Chase immediately went in full Hulk mode Chase tried to punch Jax but Smalley jumped in front of him distracting him, Jax twisted my wrist making me scream louder in pain if I move I know for a fact I'm going to have a broken wrist, "She's ours, pretty boy," Smalley said as he pulled a gun on Chase. Chase moved slowly away from Smalley and slowly lifted his hands up to his head.

Smalley smirked and clicked off the safety, "NO!" A voice could be heard, I didn't know whose voice it was, by the looks on Chase's and Smalley's face it was mine. Time seemed to slow down when my teary eyes landed on Chase; before I knew it he threw a Knife at Smalley's stomach making him miss his shot of shooting Chase. "Chase just go, argh, I got this," I said as Jax tightened his grip, "Yea sure you do Angel," He said and punched Smalley in the face.

Pop, He let me go so I hugged my wrist in pain, I grabbed the gun and moved my non-sprained arm to my thigh, took off the safety, and pulled the trigger at Jax, Smalley looked at me then pointed the barrel of the gun at me. I looked down ready to leave this curl world that I lived in. Chase took action and did a quick U-turn around with Smalley's gun.

Chase turned dark. Darker than I could have imagined, "Now. Go. Basterds." Chase yelled after a while as the two guys leaped down the stairs "Angel!"

"Go after them Chase, don't worry about me. Okay, I'm fine," I gave him my best smile but all he did was soften for a few seconds and ran down the stairs, as I got up. Chase came back, picked me up bridal style and took me to my room then placed me on my bed as he went to get something.

A few seconds later Chase came back with the Aid Kit, as I was holding my now sprained wrist I asked, "How did you know I was in trouble?" Chase was wrapping my arm with a handmade cast, "I was following them when I saw you getting into your car, I knew they wanted some-- Nevermind, you're coming with me until tomorrow." I only nodded because I knew what he was saying was true. Well sorta.

I don't know why but I felt safe when I'm around him. Chase being so kind to me almost made me believe in love and a happier life.

We took his Black McLaren 720S where the doors fly up. Ryker taught me car brands, that's why I'm in love with his car and mine. I decided to break the silence that had fallen in the car, "Why- um- Why did you come back?"

"stutter much," my subconscious said, causing me to look out the window, looking at the passing trees.

"I came back because of you, Angel," He said as he looked at me then back to the road ahead. My hair fell in front of my face so he didn't see me blush.

"It's not just me, you've changed a lot. Chase, you left me for years and years, I-I was heartbroken I was sick for years on end..." I choked on most of my words as the memories came back those nights when I was screaming, lack of sleep, and stopped eating. Ryker was sick of me being so butthurt that I couldn't keep doing this to myself. Still having my hair in my face I heard him move uncomfortably in his leather seat, Chase was the first person I learned how to love, and care for.

"Angel, I'll explain everything later right now is not a good time."

"When is a good time? When I'm taken, or killed?" I raised my voice since it was the only thing to do. "My whole family keeps secrets from me, I thought you'd be different." I looked at him, mumbling the last part, but he heard it, my voice held anger and the emotions I've been holding. I didn't miss the hurt in his eyes as I turned my head away from him.
