Chapter 28
Chase's Pov
I left Lisa standing there, like a dumbass I am.
I went back down to the living room, I couldn't get how much she looked so broken..
I told her I would never hurt her the way I did.. Her hair, her Ocean eyes, her damn smile, how it would light up the room.. After that question, I should've yelled it. How I felt. I couldn't; I won't ever again.
"Yo! Chase the hell out of your dream world, won't you? Damn.." Ryker said while taking a swing of his beer as well with me, before the bottle touched my lips I heard footsteps running down the stars. This isn't gonna go well.
Ryker and I looked over, seeing Lisa, walk into the kitchen and back out of the bar, to her room.
Looking for what?
She pulled out a pair of car keys and ran back up while Lilly was looking at us for help.. We all watched what was unfolding in front of us; until the words I never thought I'd hear from her.
Low?
Drinking?
The hell is wrong with me?
Those words stuck to me like glue. I looked down at the state I was in, before I could say anything I heard the door slam and the sound of her car speeding, then it fell silent.
"What. The. Hell. Chase!" I looked away from the bottle seeing an angry Ryker and an upset Lilly.
"What?" I said.
"You motherfucking dumbass! What did you say to my sister?!" Ryker got up from the couch, Levi, Jack, and Char went into Ryker's room doing lord knows what.
"You broke her heart, again!" Lilly said before walking back up the stairs slowly as if she lost her love of her life.
What did I do- oh, shit.
I got up realizing what I did, before I could explain anything, Ryker threw a punch. I jumped on Ryker and that's when all hell broke loose.
Lilly screamed from the top of the stairs, Levi must have heard her, he sang the door open, seeing Lilly in the rear he ran to her side.
"Lilly whats wr-" Lilly pointed at our fight, Levi rushed down the stairs and pulled us off each other. By the time we were pulled away from each other, the gang had to hold down a pissed off Ryker.
"Dude what the fuck is wrong with you!?" Levi said as Lilly explained everything. I stayed silent looking down at my feet.
"I don't know! Okay! I didn't want her to know that I was hers since Middle School. Okay! I'm a dumbass!" I yelled, realizing it hit me hard.
"I fell in love with her, Ryker knew that." I may have looked broken since Lilly came over and gave me a hug, Levi gave me a bro hug, while Ryker looked sick to the stomach worried about his little sister.
The phone goes off, while the whole gang comes down to the living room to watch a movie. After what happened thirty minutes ago from that fight that took place in the middle of the Living room.
Lily leaves Levi and grabs the phone.
Ryker mutes the Movie so we could sum up what we hear. "Sorry, where is she?" Lilly said into the phone.
Moments later, "Okay understand... I'll let them know... Is she okay...?" With that I jumped up to our feet, I jumped over the couch and snatched the phone out of her hand.
"Hello, who's this?" I said, the person on the other end of the call coughed.
"Chase Axton, This is Doctor Jones, From Winchens Hospital. May I speak to Ryker Adams?" Doctor Jones said. Lilly went to the Tv and turned on the News station.
"What-" Ryker said before Lilly gasped. Everything seemed to slow down, everything went silent except the Tv News.
"Breaking News, at 11:00 pm on Highway 56 is now closed due to a huge crash. With a former High Schooler student named Lisabelle Michelle Adams, and a drunk driver who we have not yet identified. With the lead of a six-car crash" The News lady said as she took in a sharp intake of breath.
"In-person, here is Jeff Collin." The camera went to the person called Jeff.
"Thanks, We are here live at the sight, she is now headed to the Hospital. Pray for her Family and Friends, Pray for her she was already outside her car unresponsive when we showed up, Pray for her survival.."
I dropped that phone and turned off the Tv, grabbed my keys and headed to the Hospital.
Why is it her when it could be me in her situation? Why the fuck am I so stupid!?
