Chapter 21
Chase's PoV"What the Hell Chase!" James yelled at me, we got a call from Ryker saying Ang- I mean Lisa was gone. I was driving, James was nagging about how his new best friend is now missing, my future wife is missing. Let's pretend you didn't hear that.
My fist was starting to turn white, "Shut the HELL up or get out of this damn car! It's not my fault! She raised her voice at me!" James looks over at me like I was stupid to not call or text her.
It was my fault. I was the one who made her yell. She started to curse because of me.
I relaxed, looking in my rearview mirror picturing her sleeping in the back, or looking out of the window. Her smile, her hair, those damn Ocean eyes I fell in love with back in grade school.
"James..."
"Oh now you calmed down; after you broke a glass, and bruised your fists?" He sounded like Lisa when she's with me, I hate it when I hurt myself, on purpose or not.
"W-what if we can't find her? W-what if Jason found her? Doing what he said he would do once he got his hands on his daughter?" James looked over at me while I started to speed up, James knew I hated that man after what happened to my Angel.
"You really love her? Don't you?" He said he knew the answers to those questions, but it's not the answer I wanted to hear or picture...
"Yes. James, I told you this."
"Good, I wanted to hear it from you."
"You're such a damn Mom!" I chuckled. Chuckled. Hear Angels, little giggles. It pissed me off a little but I kept smiling through the pain.. sadly.
"I will try." He laughed.
Damn, I hate that he knew it before, well.. Everyone knew except Angel. That's the way I liked it.
We came up to Forks. Pulling up next to Ryker's car. I got out and stared at it for longer than I hoped for.. "Chase." Ryker cleared his throat. I've never seen or even heard Ryker's voice so low, so hurt before.
"Where is she?"
What's wrong with me?
It's pouring harder than ever, it's hard to hear anything here. Most of the roofs of this city were made with metal or plastic roofing. Forks were known as the Firing City.
I walked past Ryker before he could answer my question, throwing my hood up, I left them, in their conversations about how to find her, calling in the gang for this War we'll be in heaven with Jason.
Knowing Jason, he met up with his old buddies Mick Nickels, and Peter Nickels. The Nickel Brothers. The most two deadly people that kill for fun and rape woman for the hell of it. Passing by an Ally, glancing over my left shoulder and walking past it. I stopped and slowly turned around and looked.
There was a flashlight, shining through the pouring rain. Jogging up to the flashlight. Bending down and grabbing it, It's not a flashlight... It's Lisa's iPhone! Looking up frantically, trying to picture why she would be down here.
I heard a Meow, looking for the cat but it wasn't.. It was a damn speaker! No! I took out my gun, and shot the speaker. I knew the guys heard that and they'll be down here in no time.. Running further, turning corners, looking through cracks... I heard a faint scream.
I know that scream. "Angel!" I said then ran faster, when I got to where I heard the scream coming from, I saw Mick rip her belt off where her gun was... My blood ran cold. I slowly took out my gun.
No, please, someone stop me.
Peter turned around holding Lisa. She wasn't breathing... No.
I stopped breathing. I dropped the gun. I fell to my knees. "Good boy, son." Peter said, before laying her down on the floor of the Van, he got in. I shot my final bullet hitting the Van's door and time slowed down, the door slowly closing. All I could see was my innocent little fragile Angel's face with rain downs running down her face.
Time goes back to normal when the Van speeds off, and I hear watery footsteps, running towards me. I get off my knees letting my head fall. James, Ryker, Charlie, and Zach stop. James was the one to say, "Where is she?" His voice cracked, I turned around, tears fell along with the rain, letting them run down my face so they couldn't tell how broken and how close I was to her.
"Jason has her."
