Sapphire and Green went into the Pokemon Centre in Pewter City to heal their Pokemon.
"We would like to heal our Pokemon!" Sapphire and Green said to Nurse Joy at the same time.
"Ok, put your pokeballs into the container please." She smiled.
Sapphire put Popplio, Pidgey and Pikachu's pokeballs into the container while Green put her Bulbasaur's in there.
"Also, could you do a scan of my Pokémon egg to see how close it is to hatching?" Green asked Nurse Joy.
"Very well." Nurse Joy smiled. "Leave it to me! Wait 10 to 15 minutes for your Pokemon to be healed."
Green took out the container with her Pokemon egg inside out of her bag and passed it to Nurse Joy.
Sapphire and Green both went to the cafe area of the Pokemon Centre to get a milkshake. After thanking the man at the stall, they found a boy with green hair with a Rowlet enjoying a muffin at one of the tables. It was none other than Emerald!
"Hi Sapphire! How's it going? Had your Pokémon gotten stronger?!" He said in a welcoming voice.
"You bet they have!" Boasted Sapphire. "I caught new ones too!"
"I can't wait to see them!" Smiled Emerald. "I caught a new Pokemon and Rowlet had gotten stronger too! Lets have a Pokemon battle!"
"As soon as they are healed!" Sapphire said. "Challenge accepted!
"Also, after the battle, lets check out the Pokemon Museum at this city. I hear they have rare Pokemon fossils there!"
"That's a great idea!" Smiled Sapphire.
"Also, who's this?" Emerald asked Sapphire, looking at Green.
"I'm Green." Green introduced herself. "And my partner Pokemon is Bulbasaur. She is healing at Nurse Joy's."
Emerald smiled. "Nice to meet you Green! I'm Emerald!"
After drinking the milkshakes, Sapphire and Green's number flashed onscreen and it was time to get their Pokemon.
"Here you go!" Said Nurse Joy. "Popplio, Bulbasaur and your other Pokemon are fully healed!"
"Thank you Nurse Joy!" Sapphire and Green said at the same time.
"Oh, your egg!" Shouted Nurse Joy as she ran to get it. She returned with the egg in the container.
"It should hatch in a few days!" Said Nurse Joy said happily. "The Pokemon inside is very developed!"
"Great!" said Green with glee. "I can't wait to meet my new Pokémon!"
"Me too!" Shouted Sapphire. "I wonder what Pokémon is in there!"
"Is there a battlefield nearby where Emerald and I can have a Pokémon battle?" Sapphire asked Nurse Joy.
"We have a Pokemon battlefield just outside the Pokemon centre that is free to use!" Smiled Nurse Joy. "You may need to wait your turn though."
"Thank you!" Said Sapphire. "Emerald, let's have our Pokemon Battle!"
They ran outside to look for the battlefield. It was on the right! The battlefield was large and had hedges on the edges and corners. Sapphire jumped on one end of the battlefield while Emerald went to the other side.
"I'll be the referee!" Green called out as she stood on the side of the battlefield.
"This will be a battle with Sapphire vs Emerald. It will use the full party of each side. This battle will be over when all Pokémon on one side is unable! Sapphire and Emerald, you may bring out your Pokémon.
