Chapter 10

Flairess POV:

I sighed stepping out of the warm shower into the cold bathroom. The shower relaxed me slightly and I instantly felt ten times better. Like I could take on the world. Or Hydra. Maybe both. I put on yoga pants and a red button up shirt with red high top converse. I braided my hair and did light makeup. I did all the things I had to do in the bathroom and grabbed my white iPhone 5c. I know what your thinking, wait, didn't you have an iPod? I did, but let's just say it had an unfortunate meeting with the pool.

I stepped out of my room and made my way back to the living room. Let me clear a few things up first. I know that most of you are like 'but you can teleport!', and that's true, but it takes up ALOT of energy so I try to do it as little as possible. Secondly, so does changing my appearance, so I bought a closet full of clothes to wear. Ok moving on... Oh right! I made it to living room and saw that the rest of the group was already there, including Bruce and Thor.

"Hey guys." I said. Natasha looked at me and smiled. "Hey Flair." I looked over to Clint and winced. He had a dark bruise on his chin and his lip was busted. "Nat, what did you do to him?" She smiled sheepishly. "Well, let's just say I probably should've used a punching bag..." Clint groaned. "Yeah probably." I smiled and sat down next to Tony on the couch. He kissed my forehead and pulled me into a hug. "Hey babe how are you feeling?" I shrugged. "Not as bad but it could be better." He nodded and the room fell into silence. It was quiet, but comfortably quiet.

The elevator dinged and my head snapped to it, tilting to an angle. Tony chuckled. "I swear sometimes your more fox than human. I stuck my tongue out at him and smirked. "Maybe but ya know you love me." He smiled. "Never said I didn't. I turned my head back to the elevator and Fury, Logan, Ororo, Scott and five others walked out. I smiled and waved at them. "Hey guys." Logan sat down beside me while the others took up the remaining seats. "Hey Flair, how you holding up?" I shrugged and my tails waved a little. "Eh, it's as good as it could be." He grinned sheepishly. "Ya I guess..." I turned my attention back to the figures standing awkwardly by the elevator. I got my first good look and my ears pricked in interest. Standing before me was a human man with brown hair, a green woman with black pink tipped hair, a thick gray man with tattoos, a living tree, and a raccoon wearing a vest and pants.

I squealed and ran to the raccoon, picking him up and holding him close. "Oh my god you are so cute!!!" He growled lightly and I put him down. "I'm not cute I'm a very dangerous creature!" I smirked and purred slightly. "Whatever you say..." I heard someone clear his throat and I turned to see Nick glaring at me. I grinned sheepishly. "Yes Nicky?" He sighed. "Can you please stop harassing the guardians." I frowned and sat beside Tony. "But he's so fluffy and cute.." The raccoon growled. "I'm not cute! Tell 'em Groot!" The tree looked down to the raccoon and smiled. "I am Groot."

Nick turned to us and started introductions. "The raccoon is Rocket. He's a genetically modified raccoon." Tony smirked. "No shit Sherlock." Nick glared at him. "The tree is Groot." "I am Groot." The tree said. I turned to Logan and whispered in his ear. "Is that all he says?" Apparently Rocket heard me because he nodded. "Pretty much. He only says 'I' 'am' and 'Groot', consecutively in that order."

I nodded slowly. "This is Gamora." He motioned to the green woman. She nodded curtly to me and I did the same. "Drax." Nick said motioning to the large gray man. "And Peter Quill." He finished pointing the brown haired man. Peter winked at me and smiled. "Hey there foxy lady." I snorted at his corny pick up line. "I'm Peter Quill, also known as Starlord." I smirked and cuddled into Tony's side. "I'm Flairess Ninetales aka Firefox, and I'm also known as not interested."

Everyone oh'd except Peter and Tony.Tony smirked and kissed my cheek. "Damn right she's not interested, she's got me." I giggled and pecked his lips. Nick cleared his throat and all heads snapped to him. "Alright, if we're done playing around lets get to buisness." I sighed and rubbed my hands together. "Ok. Where do we start?"
