I watch as they are lead out of their room and I sigh in relief. They're finally free. The comm crackles once more as a deeper voice speaks. "Would you like to watch them go?" I nod, my ears flattening "Please..." He chuckles and an image of them exiting the building is projected onto the wall. I watch as Shadow cautiously walks out, Link in her arms. She looks around and goes to take a step forward but freezes.
I furrow my brow in confusion "Why isn't she going...." I watch her lips move but no sound comes out. I growl "Let me hear her! You son of a bitch let me hear!" There's no response but a slight crackle, and I whine in agitation. Shadow starts to cry and holds Link close. Suddenly the audio turns on and I can hear her loud sobs mixed with Links crying. I'm confused as to why their crying but then see a man decked out in military gear aiming a gun at them.
My eyes glow red and I feel my tails lash out as a dark aura surround me. "You set you'd let them go!" I scream my voice hoarse with the sobs held back deep within my throat. I'm answered with a dark chuckle. "Yes that is true, but we never specified how they'd be free..." Something is shouted in German and I look at the wall seeing the man put his finger on the trigger. I growl and try to teleport to them but I'm shocked and I yelp in pain.
Doctors flood the room and pin me down. I growl lowly but freeze when a shot fires off. I feel my heart sink and my ears flatten. I slowly bring my gaze back to the screen and let out a scream.
Blood covers the ground, Shadow sprawled limp across it as Link rest against her chest. I let out a sob and the comm crackles once more. "Would you like to see a repeat?" The image rewinds and I watch a bullet flys directly into Shadows skull. I bite back another scream and watch in shock and pain as she's shot again and again and again. He keeps repeating the video and I feel myself grow weaker every second.
My sister... Is dead. And I couldn't do anything but sit and watch...
