Chapter 15: The Extraction
"O'Malley is your team ready and loaded to take these sons of bitches down?" The captain asked.
"Sir our team is locked and loaded to extract the civilians and our main target is Eric, the head of the cartel. We'll get to the warehouse first to extract the girls then his home. Is everyone on board with the plan?" O'Malley asked her teammates.
They loaded up once everyone agreed with the plan.

"What does this say?" Tez asked Isabella as she pointed to a house.
"Mi casa?"
"Remember we are practicing your English, try again.
"My house?"
"Yeah!"
Isabella did a little happy salsa in her seat. Mateo was struggling a bit with his work.
"Okay Mateo, I need you to try. What does this say?"
"The front door?"
"Yeah, you got it! See I told you could do it."
Meanwhile at the Warehouse...
The girls were told to clean up a little around the warehouse. Eric had got word that some potential buyers wanted to see the product, so he instructed the girls to clean.
"...if it's not up to the standards that I have set then make them clean it again!" Eric belted from the other end of the phone.
"Alright ladies, clean it once more, the boss hasn't had his morning coffee yet. Also, clean out your buckets, they're starting to smell." Eric's right hand said.
The women did as they were told, for if they resisted, they would be subject to a beating.
As Tez was wrapping up the English lesson with Mateo and Isabella, she heard someone walk up behind her. At first, she thought it was Eric, but then they cleared their throat.
"Uh um. Come with me Tez, we're going shopping." Eric's extravagant wife stated. Then she briskly walked out the door.
This should be fun, Tez thought as she followed.
Eric's wife walked with Tez to a beautiful all-white Chrysler 300 with a tan interior. Tez thought it was the prettiest car she'd ever seen. They drove for what felt like hours until Tez broke the silence. "So, how's your day so far?" Tez awkwardly asked as she waited in anticipation for a response.
There was a long pause before she responded. "Oh, it's been great. I purchased a Gucci handbag and an outfit from Dior, and I hung with my gal pals from Savannah. I tried calling my husband, but to no avail, he......" She stops midsentence.
Tez thought that this could be valuable information and pressed for more details.
"So, you guys have been married for how many years? I think he should at least text you when he can't answer the phone."
The Wife grips the wheel for dear life and glowers at Tez. Tez drops the subject and stares out the window, praying she didn't just mess things up for her friends at the warehouse.
The Captain, Agent O'Malley, and their team have gathered outside of the cartel's warehouse. The plan is to invade the cartel and extract the women and the child with minimal casualties. Agent O'Malley stares blankly at the thermal scanner and thinks back to when he met Tez as a child. She was so bright and bubbly and curious as a child. She was very vibrant and unapologetic. He wished she was safe and not in harm's way.
"Alright team," O'Malley started, "We know the plan, and we've gone through every obstacle. Now we just need to get the bad guy and extract the civilians."
Agents Johnson, Williams, and Hernandez agreed that they would each kill two cartel members and bet that they each could get Eric. O'Malley wished things were different and that she could be home with her baby boy to watch him grow into the man he was meant to be. Sadly, things weren't that simple.
"Alpha squad we're a go for green."
The first thing to hit the warehouse was the sleep smoke, it was meant to knock out anyone it came into contact with. After the inhabitants were met with BB guns to wound them enough to stay down, they were the real bullets. The ones without a name on them.
"V formation Alpha Squad! The sleep gas got half of the fugitives. Now is time for some BB."
Hernandez and Williams lived for the action; it came with the job. They lived for every second of it. Hernandez was an adrenaline junkie, and Williams was a recovering gambler. He'd attend AA meetings on the weekends without his team knowing and that was enough for him.
Then the moment came to break down the door.
Tez was confused when they arrived at an outlet, but the clothes were high fashion. She looked over at Eric's wife and noticed how she was dressed. She wore a blazer with matching shorts. It was about 89 degrees outside, yet she looked like a goddess.
"I'm going to buy you some clothes so that you don't look like a homeless person.
Tez wondered how she could be so calculated and cold. She really needed a reality check cause no one in their right mind would dress as if they were on a runway every day. Actually, Tez wouldn't mind being treated that way. What Tez really desired was for someone to get her flowers whenever she felt sad.
"...and then we'll get some shoes, you look like a 7, am I right?"
Tez must've tuned her out and went deep into thought. "I'm a 6.5 so you were close. "Why are you taking me shopping I thought I was a product?"
"You're not a product, we cannot sell you cause that's illegal; we're simply renting. Now you may think that's the same thing but trust it's not. Plus, you're all welcome to leave anytime."
"I'm sure that comes with a catch. You don't just take countless women and tell them they can leave at any time. That doesn't make sense," Tez said as a matter of factly.
Eric's wife was silent for some time. Until she told Tez her name was Urena.
"Come on let's go inside already," Urena said plainly.
