A Minor Complication

"Crying?" Jin asked Yoongi as he began to serve their dinner that evening.

Yoongi had tried to check on Hobi earlier in the day but the man's bedroom door was locked and he'd refused to answer. The crying stopped the moment Yoongi had gone to the door and he hadn't heard a peep from him the rest of the day. The man had still not come out of the room.

"I didn't know what to do," Yoongi said, trying to still a squirmy Tae in his chair. Per usual the boy didn't want to sit down to eat. "I don't know him very well and he wouldn't answer me."

"I'll check on him after we eat if he doesn't come out before then," Jin said as he latched the tray to Jungkook's high chair. He sighed as he turned and saw that both Namjoon and Tae had managed to slip from their seats again. They needed to get more high chairs.

Sometimes he'd put the two newer littles in Jimin or Jungkook's chairs but it made it difficult when they all sat down to eat at once. His two littles had become very used to their high chairs and had the same problem Joon and Tae were displaying when they weren't in them.

From what Jin had gathered from Yoongi, Tae was a little escape artist when he didn't want to do something and Joon... well he was just being difficult. It wasn't entirely the baby's fault. This was still new and he was pushing boundaries, and his relationship with Yoongi definitely wasn't helping.

Jin was actively trying to give Yoongi room to be an authority figure to the little, but it didn't seem like he was quite ready. The caregiver didn't have that problem disciplining Tae or even Jimin now that he'd started trying to push him but there was just something about his relationship with Joon that was stopping him. Jin didn't want to undermine his authority by disciplining Namjoon when he saw him being disrespectful to Yoongi but it was getting ridiculous. Jin planned to talk to Yoongi later tonight once the littles ones were having quiet time before bed.

Joon's behavior was getting to a point where it couldn't be ignored even longer. Jin had enough experience as a caregiver to know the baby was just exploring boundaries but he was starting to get an attitude where he believed he was above consequences. Jin didn't like that.

He'd had to pop Joon on the bottom after he'd gotten home when the baby dared to give him the same attitude he'd been giving Yoongi. The baby's reaction had been quite dramatic. He'd fallen to the ground like he'd been shot instead of getting one (relatively light) spank. Honestly, if Jin didn't have as much experience as he did at remaining firm he would have laughed. Watching how dramatically the baby had thrown himself to the floor and started sobbing was a little amusing. Even Jungkook and Jimin hadn't known what to think of it and they'd been in Namjoon's place more times than they would have liked.

Jin had threatened Namjoon with a spanking after he'd finished his meltdown if he did not stop the attitude towards both caregivers. He really wanted Namjoon to have more of an adjustment period before he had to give him his first spanking but his behavior was getting far too unacceptable to ignore much longer.

The boy had straightened up after that, however. He'd apologized and been on his best behavior. Well up until now at least. Jin caught the baby by the wrist after he'd slipped out of his seat again and placed him right back.

"Joon, you need to sit on your bottom like a good boy. We're going to eat dinner," Jin said firmly but patiently.

"Tae Tae play," the baby complained and pointed at the boy as the little managed to make a run for it to the living room.

Yoongi flipped around from where he'd been checking on Jimin to chase after the boy. Jin had a funny feeling the two littles had been conspiring for Tae's escape as Jimin's fussing stopped the moment Tae had broken free from the confines of the kitchen.
