This probably isn't a good idea, like at all. But I really want to go to his place. Julian might not be home anyway so what's the big deal?
Quinn and I have been together for a week now. It's still too early to love him but I'm more sure I do every single day.
When the time comes for me to tell him I want it to be special, but knowing me I'll probably blurt it out.
Oh and I still can't stop thinking about Raegan.
I do the one thing that will take this off my mind, I look at him. He holds onto the handle tighter. He let me drive again, his dramatic tendencies haven't changed. I don't think they ever will.
"Eyes on the road," he scolds. I've been driving way before I even turned sixteen. He can take a seat.
"You stare at me when you drive. And don't try to say you're better at driving, you're not."
"I am."
I take a hand off the wheel and place it on his thigh like all men do. Like wow cool dude you can drive and be affectionate at the same time. So impressive.
But I like totally get the appeal because I love when Quinn does it.
"Both hands on the wheel woman."
"What? You don't like when I act like a man? I'm really offended Quinn." I fake being hurt.
"You make a great man but hands on the wheel." That's a compliment. I really do make a great man. I could be the dude in this relationship perfectly.
"I am the man." I make my voice as deep as I can get it.
"If you don't slow down you'll miss the turn," he says, still gripping the handle.
I slow down like he asked and he dramatically flails like I've just slammed on the brakes. Which I didn't.
After more remarks about my driving and dramatic behavior from Quinn we pull into his driveway. And look, his car and both of us are in one piece.
"Looks like Julians gone," he says and looks over his shoulder. "Nevermind." I watch as his car drives into the lot.
"We need to go inside like right now," he says. We run inside and almost hit two people.
He quickly unlocks his door and we rush in.
"We didn't need to run that fast." I'm practically panting. I hated that.
"You're right but it's really fucking funny to watch you do whatever you're doing." He laughs and I swat his shoulder.
I'm still dying and he's standing there not in the least bit out of breath. Maybe I couldn't be the guy in this relationship. I'm too much of a wimp.
"Shut. Up," I say when I'm finished dying.
"You shut up."
"Hey I said it first," I defend. "You can't say shut up to the person who's just shut you up."
"Doesn't matter."
"That's against the rules."
"What rules?" he asks and smiles.
"My rules, which you have to follow by the way."
"Do not."
"How can I fix that?" I think out loud. "I might have to beat you up."
"Yeah fucking right. You couldn't even dunk me when we went swimming. What on earth makes you think you could beat me up?" He smirks.
"I'm very strong. I've just hidden it so well so you never knew."
