George's POV
My hand brushes against the sharp zipper on my backpack. Slowly filling the bag with things I need for the day. Study material, spare clothes, toiletries, etcetera. I was spending the last night I had before I needed to go to Florida at Wilbur's place.
Pulling out the packing list I had made the night before, scanning through the items.
Opening the bag as wide as I could, checking in between each space. Shoving way more things than the bag was meant to carry.
"Okay, anything else?" I thought out loud to myself.
My eyes ruffled through the inside of my brain, looking for something I may have not written down.
Wait what if I had to go to the beach, I have no beach clothes.
My face became blank.
Well, shit.
Before I could ransack my old clothes, I got a text from Wilbur.
Brushing the hair out of my face, my head tilts to read the phone on the short coffee table beside me.
"I'm outside mate, are you done packing or do you need help?"
I snag the phone from the glass table.
"Yeah, just last checks. You could just come in, the door is unlocked."
A few moments after, I hear a loud bang from the outside door.
"Wilbur, how many times have I told you to NOT bang the door when you come in." I shout to get his attention.
"But I gotta make my grand entrance George"
I turn around to see Wilbur's wide grin.
"Wipe that stupid smile off your face, nobody's impressed."
He chuckled, placing his keys on the table and taking a seat beside me.
His knees crash against mine.
I sigh, shifting a little to the left to give him some room on the right.
"So George, how long are you into the checking phase? 20 mins?"
I roll my eyes, "No, I think I'm done. I just wanted to make sure I don't forget something important."
He nodded in agreement, glancing around the room.
The house was looking bare to its' bones, the only things remaining were pictures and things on shelves.
"Did you put everything you own in those 2 suitcases, because it looks like you're moving out." He jokes.
"That was a weak one, did Tommy give you that one?" I grinned in reply.
He scrunched his eyes, mockingly.
"Soo, do you have anything you forgot?"
"Not that I see so far. Except I don't have a bathing suit. Or something I could wear on the beach. We wouldn't wear those kinds of clothes here because you know, it's London."
