the room went quiet. hyunsuk finally beheld the real reason why everybody kept on mentioning jihoon. it wasn't because he would get angry. not because he would punish hyunsuk or use him to display his strength and authority.

jihoon will be sad to lose another friend.

after sending asahi away, the one whom he was attached to, the one whom he trusted will never leave, he hit rock-bottom and for many months locked himself in his celestial house, not letting anyone checking on him.

the rumors were that jihoon loved asahi but the latter gave his heart to a human which made the miserable archangel hurt the one so dear to him.

asahi's wings were ripped off of his body. he was sentenced to leave heaven and banished to live on earth, among sinful human beings.

from this moment jihoon became although the most mighty and redoubtable archangel yet the one every angel feared. they were scared that if they do anything defiantly, the story of asahi will happen again.

the truth was slightly different sadly only hyunsuk and mashiho were aware of it. yes, asahi was punished. yes, his wings were ripped off which caused immense pain. little did anyone know how jihoon cried and wailed that day. until the present moment, he couldn't forgive himself for what has happened. unfortunately, the sacred rules said "the love between an angel and a human is strictly forbidden. whoever disregards it, must be punished by losing angelic traits." hence it was inevitable what's more, jihoon has never stopped caring for asahi, he made sure his former, long-term favorite angel landed on earth at the specific spot.

this is how jihoon proved that until the very end he treated his younger friend with tenderness. he had a lively, loving but broken, injured heart which made him change. he wasn't the funny, carefree, and mirthful hyung all the angels used to know. he became quiet, calm, a little bit cold and menacing once his eyebrows knitted and lips pursed. hyunsuk and mashiho still loved him as their close friend, he was wistful and never greedy when it came to sharing his broad knowledge.

unfortunately, whenever someone mentioned anything about the past or some strong bond between an angel and a human happened, he hid inside again, ashamed, as if dread to face the hard memories. hyunsuk had to confront him. it was the last which left before he could move to earth and stay with yoshi, never entering heaven as an archangel again.
