epilogue

time back to the present moment

upon the sunset, two boys were getting ready to sleep. they had talked for the whole time, cradling one another warmly. hyunsuk opened up, told the other what has happened, why he stopped visiting him in his dreams, he didn't omit anything being fully sincere with his love.

yoshi wanted to make the other feel safe, comforted. he resolved to make up for every minute, every second of suffering hyunsuk has had to go through. he ripped off his wings just to be with yoshi, and he felt obliged to prove that it was worth it.

yoshi will render hyunsuk the happiest in their new, collective life on earth.

hyunsuk was just after taking shower, he had a towel wrapped around his hips, stood in front of the tap, with no clothing on top. the door was left opened for two of them had no secrets or things to conceal, so yoshinori was quietly watching the other from behind.

his keen eyes soon spotted some reddish lines apparent on the other's back. yoshi approached the other to catch more details. these weren't just some lines. these were scars. the imprinted reminders of what has happened two years ago. long and painful to look at, coming from hyunsuk's below shoulders down the length comparable to spine.

"is everything alright, yoshi?"

hyunsuk felt some movement from behind and when the other's hands touched his warmed body, he shivered slightly.

"everything is alright. I just admire how beautiful you are."

after saying so, he pecked the other's neck and nape several times. his skin was fairly white, hence pink-tinted marks soon appeared, colouring the route created by yoshi's lips.

"I promise, you will never suffer again. you have me now, how could I let anything bad happen to you?"

hyunsuk turned to the other and they stood face to face. the older smiled, his eyes were glossy but countless stars twinkled inside them. yoshi kissed his forehead tenderly. they had each other, they were together and nothing nor no one could change that.
