The sun flooded Korra's room through the dark blue curtains, giving the floor a purple tint. She groaned and rolled over away from her window subconsciously, hiding away from the sunlight. She fell back asleep, but her brain wouldn't stay quiet. Something was wrong. Nothing was burning though, so she shook it off ignorantly.

'I'll deal with it whenever I get up...' She thought.

Padding came from the left side of her bed as Naga whimpered.

'Ugh. Breakfast...'

The cries grew louder and her dog pulled at her bedspread with urgency. Her eyebrows furrowed in annoyance as she pulled back.

"Mmm, Naga, stop that! I'm going to get up. Give me a minute..." She mumbled.

Despite her owner's command, Naga still tugged at the sheets as she growled, every pull becoming stronger and stronger. Korra pulled, now situated on her elbow and frustrated. Her eyes were barely open and her hair was fuzzy.

"Let. Go." She growled.

At the worst possible time, Naga finally followed her orders, sending Korra flying out of the bed and over the edge. "Agh!!!" She yelped in panic as she fell, tugging the sheets along with her. Her entire bed was practically toppled on top of her head as she looked at Naga incredulously.

"You're so annoying..."

Naga whined as Korra's phone buzzed on top of her suitcase from across the room. Sighing, she relieved herself from the mountain of sheets and grabbed her phone, answering it.

"Hello?" She half yawned.

"Where the hell are you?!"

"What?" Korra blinked, only halfway processing what was going on.

"We've called you like a million times! We're an hour behind schedule!"

Korra didn't respond as her gears turned in her head.

"It's Mako!"

No response.

"Damnit, Korra, the road trip!!!"

It clicked.

Way too fast.

"Holy shit! I overslept!!!"

Mako groaned. "We know! You're not ready, that's for sure. Have you atleast dropped off Naga at your mom's house???"

Korra slammed her palm into her face on instinct. "Oh, God, no–"

"Korra!!!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I–"

"Save it. If you're not outside with Naga in fifteen minutes, just put your stuff back in the closet, got it?"

"I–" The line ended before Korra could say anything else. She growled, but shoved her anger down in the pit of her stomach. She had to get ready, no time for frivolous emotions. Speaking of stomach...

'I'll hold off on the breakfast today.'

With that thought, she hurried into her bathroom to brush her teeth and hair. No time for a shower. As much as she hated it, she just didn't have enough time. By the time she was finished, she had about seven more minutes before Mako arrived. She pulled on a white t-shirt with simple highrise jeans and a pair of slip on Vans. She checked for one last look in the mirror as she fixed her hair and consciously checked off the things she needed in her head. She was finally done, just barely making the fourteen minute mark.
