Elena and Elizabeth were now in Elena's room, discussing about the events of the night. Even though they had been away from each other for 3 years, they had managed to stay close by sending each other letters to gossip. Now that Elena's finally home they can do it face to face. They sat by the window together, admiring the stars.

"Lord Watson is truly what I imagined in a perfect man... He's sweet, handsome-" Lizzie started.

"-and a duke." Elena cut her off and laughed. "There's nothing better than becoming a duchess, Lizzie!"

"You know that I don't go for a man just for their wealth and title. If I'm going to marry a man, I'm going to do it for love."

"I'm positive that he's the right man for you, sister."

"Do you really think he likes me, Lena?" Elizabeth asked nervously as she fiddled with her fingers.

Elena scoffed as she stared at her sister incredulously. "Lizzie... he's been chasing after you since last season and wouldn't stop staring at you while you two were dancing. He'd have to be a foolish man to not like you."

"He would... Oh, but Arthur is gonna push him away again." Lizzie said as she remembered her brother's behaviour from last time. "He keeps saying that he's not a very respectful man."

"Then I will make sure brother doesn't come in between you two. You deserve happiness, sister, with someone you love not with some old rich man Arthur found at his club." She gently held her sister's fingers.

Elizabeth stared at her younger sister before she spoke up. "What about you, Lena?" She asked. "What happened with you with and Mr. Bridgerton?"

"Would you like to dance?"

This simple question made her heart begin to race. She looked up at him and gently placed her hand on top of his, keeping her eyes on his.

Benedict was leading Elena to the dance floor until her mother stopped him from doing so. "Elena!" She called from the crowd.

The young woman jumped and shot her head towards her mother, startled. "We're leaving." Lady Bennet said.

Elena looked back at Benedict one last time before pulling her hand away from his and walking towards her mother, leaving Benedict all alone on the side of the ballroom floor.
