The next day, Elena and Daphne met up at a tea shop for their first afternoon rendezvous. The room was very busy with other people sipping their tea and engaging in light conversation, though both were too preoccupied with each other to pay any attention. Elena had ordered a cake so she rambled on to Daphne, filling her mouth with the desert.

"The duke of Delmore has been courting my sister for weeks now! Why hasn't he proposed yet?" She said with her mouth full. "Either he's a shy man, which I've heard a few people say, or my brother is threatening him secretly. If that were the case, he's in much trouble."

Daphne however wasn't listening to her friend. The conversation she had with Simon right before left her all flustered and she didn't know what to think. As she finished her desert, Elena noticed the state Daphne was in. She tilted her head to the side.

"Daphne?" She called, snapping her back to reality. "Is everything all right? You seem flustered, darling." She looked at her, concerned as she gently held her hand.

Daphne opened her mouth but did not speak, not sure what to say as she did not want to regret it. "I wonder, Elena... If you do not mind me asking, do you sometimes..." She paused and looked at her surroundings making sure nobody was listening as Elena stared at her with a confused expression. "Touch yourself?" She whispered.

Elena chocked on her tea as she heard the last two words come out of Daphne's mouth. She coughed a little bit before composing herself. "From where is this curiosity coming from, Daphne?" She grinned.

"Well, the Duke and I were talking and-"

"The Duke?" Elena asked and started laughing boisterously. "Of course it's Simon." She shook her head as she took another sip of her tea.

Elena and Simon have known each other since they were eight years old. She was the only friend he had since his inability to speak did not please the other children. But Elena didn't mind. She was raised to respect everyone, regardless of their differences.

Daphne kept staring at Elena, waiting for an answer as an awkward silence washed over. Elena stopped to think to find the right words to explain to her. "It... is a pleasant activity I do yes, but not very often."

Daphne kept quiet as she slowly nodded her head.

"Have you never tried before?" Elena asked as she chuckled. "I always forget how little the other mamas tell their daughters."

"And your mama tells you everything?" Daphne asked as Elena nodded. "So... you know how a woman comes to be with child?" She nodded again. "Could you tell me?"
