I don't know why, but I sometimes get the feeling that Nate, is flirting. A few days ago, he called me his princess again. Like HIS! I almost fainted. But I think he said that to get a point across a waiter who according to, Nate, was hitting on me. I didn't noticed he was, I figured he was being a nice guy.

I was hanging out with Belle, Sarah and Nate, in the living room, when suddenly..

"So, did the waiter asked you out?" Belle asked.

"No, and he is not my type."I said.

"He is adorable." Sarah added.

"Meh, as a friend sure, but as a boyfriend? No."

"None of those guys are good for you, you deserve better." Nate, smiled.

"Maybe one day the guy that I like, will see me and realize why it never worked out with other girls." I said before drinking my coffee.

........

A couple of nights later, I heard a loud noise outside, I put on a hoodie and made my way outside. Nate was stumbling. He is drunk, I walked to where he was and I grabbed the beer from his hand and threw it away.

"That was my beer, why did you take it." He said through greeted teeth.

"Because drinking is not the solution. You put yourself in danger by driving here. You're lucky to have even made it one piece in your state!"

He grabbed my wrist really hard and looked me in the eyes. "Today I deserve to get drunk. Today I'm celebrating Katie's birthday, we were supposed to be having a great life together!"

I don't like it when people scream at me. His eyes were red like he's been drugged.

"No one." He was cutting my circulation. "And I repeat no one will ever replace, Katie."

Tears fell down my cheeks from the pain and what he just said. I guess Nate will always get stuck in the past.

"Hands off my daughter!" Dad yelled while pushing, Nate, away from me.

"What's going on?" Mike asked.

"Ask your drunken son. He put his hands on my daughter." Dad said with so much anger. He looked at me and asked, "Are you okay?"

I nodded. "Today, is Katie's, birthday. He is angry and I'm pretty sure, someone drugged him."

"I'm sorry." Nate passed out after that.

"He needs help." Dad said as he and Mike carry him to his bedroom. I followed them suit.

They placed him on his bed and Mike called a Dr to check on him.

"He has refused help. But I'll talk to him when he is better." He looked at me and said, "I'm really sorry for how he treated you."

"It's fine, I know this is a bad day for him and also because someone drugged him. Alcohol and drugs do not mix." I sighed. "You should check the club he was and see the cameras."

"I will, it's a good a thing he only likes one club." He replied.

"Alright, let's go, Davina." Dad told me.

"Stay." Nate said as he grabbed my hand. I looked down and he was sleeping. "Please."

"Can I?" I asked dad.

"Sure, see you in the morning." He gave me a hug and then left the room with Mike.

A few minutes later, the doctor arrived and detoxicated, Nate. I looked down at my wrists and they were turning a little purple. I'm not excusing him, but it's always hard for him this day. But when he wakes up, I'll talk to him. I grabbed a chair and sat next to him and eventually I fell asleep.

.......

I woke up the next day by a hand touching my face. I looked up to see Nate, smiling.

"Hey princess, come here." He said in a husky sleepy voice.

I sat down on his bed and he pulled me in and wrapped his arms around me. Okay, what's happening?

He pulled away and said, "I'm sorry."

"You were having a bad day, it's okay."

He sighed, "Davina, day off or not, it didn't give me the right to scream at you, or hurt you."

"Fine, you were a real ahole." I rolled my eyes. He chuckled.

"You can't say the complete word. It's really cute."

Yeah, although I may think the word, I can't seem to say it out loud. Not in my nature I guess, maybe someday.

"Someday maybe." I giggled.

He caressed my face and then apologized again and again. I told him that it was already water under the bridge.

"Nate, if you want to have a future with someone, you need to let go of the past. Like you said, no one will replace her, but you need to let her go, because all you're going to do is hurt the girl you're with." I said as I removed a strand of hair from his face.

"I know, and I will get help. Maybe then, I'll be ready to date again."

"Can you two just kiss already." Belle said as she passed by.

"Belle!" I turned red.

"You'll Thank me for the boost!" She yelled.

I turned around to find Nate grinning like an idiot. I buried my face on his pillow. I could hear him laughing.

"Don't say a word." I warned him.

"How about three?" He said as he pulled me to him. "I like you."

"You've said that before, you like me, as friends."

"As more, Davina. But how do you tell everyone that you like your neighbour, who happened to be sixteen?"

"I'm seventeen now, what's the difference?" I said a little confused.

"Yes and you're about to turn 18 in a few months. So there's a huge difference." He reminded me.

"Just ask her out!" Luna huffed as she walked by. I giggled as he groaned.

"If you people stop interrupting, that would be fantastic." He rolled his eyes. "Next time, remind me to close the door."

"Dad only let me stay if the door was opened." I poked his dimples.

"Alright, princess. I'm going to get help and when I'm better, will you go out on a date with me?"

"Yes." I smiled so bright.

"I'll give you a kiss you'll remember forever." He whispered in my ear.

I became a jello. Am I dreaming? I did the mature thing and pinched him.

"Davina!"

"Making sure I wasn't dreaming." I shrugged.

He gave me a look and started to tickle me. I surrender and he gave me a kiss on the tip of my nose.

"Was that real enough for you?"

"Yes." I chuckled.

I couldn't wait for our date. I still couldn't believe everything that just happened.
