Chapter 10: Crazy Pants

I woke up to a cute text from Nate. It feels surreal. I still can't believe he asked me on a date and confessed that he likes me. If this a dream nobody wakes me.

I felt a little pinch. I turned to see Nikki, who was giving me a cheeky smile.

"Why the pinch, munchkin?"

"Because you had a funny look, I got worried." She shrugged.

I laughed. "When you grow up, you'll get that look too." I tickled her, she laughed.

"No." She gasped. "Mommy!" She ran away. I chuckled.

Dad entered my bedroom as Nikki yelled for mom. "Do I want to know?"

"She pinched me because she said I had a funny look and she got worried. I was reading a text from Nate." I said sheepishly. He chuckled.

"If it was another guy, I would've locked y til you turned 40, but since we've known Nate, since diapers, I'm okay with him dating you, even though you're still a minor. Just please no sex."

"Dad!" I placed a pillow on my face.

"I'm making sure my daughter doesn't get knocked up before marriage and college."

"Dad." I groaned.

He laughed. "Alright, I think I'm done torturing you. In my defense, I'm your dad, I'm allowed to." He patted my back and then left.

"Did your father tortured you?" Mom asked as she sat next next me.

"Yes." I groaned. "He's a little too much. How you handle him is beyond me."

"He's just overprotective." She smiled.

"Did you and dad had a, love at first sight?"

"Oh no, I hated him and he hated me too. He was an ass, so I left him with no uniform and made him walk the school in a towel."

I laughed at that.

"But as I got to know him cause the teacher paired him with me, I met the real Luca, he just hid behind that whole, bad boy facade, to hide that he was hurting."

"Hurting?"

"Let's just say, your grandparents on your dad's side weren't always nice like they are now." She told me.

"What changed them?" I asked curiously.

She smiled. "You, when they saw you, they stop hating me, and they changed."

"They hated you?" I furrowed my brows.

"I was poor and they were all about the high class, but everything worked out fine. That's the past, and you don't need to hate your grandparents."

"I don't, I could never. I was just surprised cause they're adorable." I giggled. "But between us, I love papa, Carl, the most and grandma Marla." I whispered. She just smiled.

I finished my classes and went to my grandparents restaurant. Mike's grandparents sold it to them.

"There she is." Grandpa said.

I hugged him, then grandma Marla, walked in and I hugged her.

"The usual?" She asked.

"Yes." I smiled.

"So, what's up with you and that cheesy grin?" Grandpa asked.

"Nate, asked me on a date." I smiled.

"That's great news, I told you it would happen." He smiled back.

"Here you go." She passed me my food, "what are we talking about?"

"Nate asked me out." I grinned.

"About time." She said as she pinched my cheeks.

I gave them a hug and then left. I placed the stuff in the car. As I was about to get in the driver's seat, someone grabbed me and started to choke me.

"You stole Nate, from me. I knew something was going on between you two." She said furiously.

"We're just best friends, you drove Nate, away making him think you were sweet and kind, and then you sent your brother to rape me!"

"Nate, will be mine." She choked me harder.

"Paws off, you bitch!" Sarah said as she grabbed Heather, by the hair.

"Let go!" Heather screamed and then she grabbed a pocket knife and stabbed Sarah In the arm. "This isn't over!"

With that, she flee the scene. Sarah was bleeding a lot. She got a little weak and then fainted. I took her to the hospital and they took her inside. I told everyone what happened. A few minutes later, everyone arrived. I explained to them what happened.

"That bitch!" Belle screamed.

"Miss, please be quiet, this is a hospital." One nurse told her.

"Bite me, puta." Belle glared at her.

"Easy, tiger." Mike, told her.

Nate, walked to where I was and pulled me to him. "You okay, princess?"

"Mhm, I'm sure I'll start bruising in a bit, she choked me hard." I said as I looked at him.

"She's so dead. The minute she put her hands on you, I'll make sure of that." He said as he caressed my face.

"I don't need you in jail."

He chuckled. He gave me a kiss on my forehead, and then pulled away. Everyone was staring at us. Yeah I turned red and buried my face on Nate's, chest, they all chuckled.

After an hour, the doctor came out and said they could go see Sarah. She is staying an hour here and then release her.

"Babygirl!" Belle said as she hugged her. "So proud you kicked her ass."

Sarah giggled. "I channel Belle mode, and drag that crazy pants by the hair."

We all laughed.

"Thank you again."

"Welcome." She smiled.

"Thank you." Mom and dad told her. She smiled.

We left the hospital and went back home. Nate, followed me to my house. I think it was because of my grandpa's food. I placed it on the table and my parents, Nate, and Nate's, parents joined us.

"Oh man, Carl, cooks so amazing." Luna said in a daze.

"I agree." Mike added.

"Indeed." Dad said in between bites. "Now, I hope you know, if you hurt our daughter, I'll hurt you so bad."

"I'll never hurt her. She means a lot to me. Plus, I get to compliment her and watch her turn red til she explodes."

"Nate." I shoved a bread in his mouth while turning extremely red.

Everyone laughed.

"Besides, if Nate, does hurt you, I'll chop off his boys." Mike added.

"Leave him alone." Luna interfered. "If he screws up, I'll bury him."

Nate, rolled his eyes. "Thanks?"

After dinner, our parents were in the backyard having coffee. I went with Nate, to the swing porch we have.

"I'm sorry." He sighed.

"It's okay." I kissed his cheek. "It's not your fault."

He smiled. "You're a tomato right now."

"Can't be helped." I said sheepishly.

He interlaced our fingers and I smiled as I looked at him already smiling at me.
