"I've missed your calls for months it seems
Don't realise how mean I can be
'Cause I can sometimes treat the people
that I love like jewelrySo I'm sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe that anybody
ever really starts to fall in love
with meDidn't mean to leave you
and all of the things that we had behindI run away when things are good
and never really understood
the way you laid your eyes on me in ways
that no one ever couldMy ignorance has struck again
I failed to see it from the start and tore you
open til the endAnd someone will love you
But someone isn't me."-Halsey

"Hey Jen."
"Hey..."
Lisa furrowed her brows. "Something wrong?"
Jennie looked up at the girl through her eyelashes before forcing a tight-lipped smile. "Just tired."
The words that Jisoo said yesterday haunted her for the rest of the night. 'He knows, cousin dearest. It would take a blind man to overlook your feelings for Lisa.'
'Feelings for Lisa?' Jennie made eye contact with her bestfriend, feeling her heartbeat accelerate. 'Oh god...'
Lisa scratched the back of her neck awkwardly. "So uh... what did you think? A-About Sunmi, I mean."
Jennie blinked. Once, twice, and then three times.
"She's pretty." She answered blandly.
Lisa blushed, a bit embarrassed by the whole situation.
The brunette's brows twitched in annoyance. 'Why does Lisa always get so flustered when it comes to that fucking woman. Are they dating?'
"So... your first day back... those hickeys... were from her?"
Jennie sounded so small, and Lisa couldn't find it in her heart to lie to her. "Actually... they weren't from her. Sunmi and I- well, it's complicated."
The older girl realized that her eyes were starting to water, and quickly turned away from Lisa. "So she's your girlfriend." Jennie cringed hearing her own voice crack upon saying the word 'girlfriend'.
Lisa sighed. 'I wish you were, Jennie...'
"Like I said, it's complicated. We had an... open relationship, if you will."
"So that was from another girl."
Jennie wondered just how many pretty girls Lisa had in her life without her knowing. The insecurity that came with this thought was crippling.
When Jennie finally turned back to face her, Lisa was surprised to see tears dripping down the brunette's cheeks.
"Ye- what's wrong Nini?"
Jennie bit her lip guiltily. Here's Lisa being all caring and sweet, supporting her and Kai even though she knew Lisa wasn't a fan of their relationship. And then there's Jennie— jealous over the fact that her bestfriend found a rich, attractive, and confident girl.
'Why would Lisa even blink in my direction when she has someone like Sunmi?'
With that in mind, Jennie started to sob harder.
The blonde immediately pulled Jennie into her warm embrace.
Lisa's smell... her comforting pats as she whispered reassuring words... her soft silky blonde locks... Dear god... Jennie was a goner.
