"Would you look at that. Someone is all smiles today~" Jisoo teased her still-grinning friend. "I'm guessing last night went well?"
"It was even better than I imagined." Lisa sighed dreamily, and Jisoo could only roll her eyes at the love-struck puppy in front of her.
"I heard her parents were gone all weekend. Did you two..."
"Yah! Get your mind out of the gutter Kim Jisoo!" Lisa squeaked in embarrassment. "Besides... she's straight. She's probably never even thought of me like that..."
"It was worth a shot." Jisoo shrugged. "No harm in asking."
"Speaking of Jennie, I haven't seen her all day." Lisa's brows dipped disappointedly.
"Didn't you hear? She rang in sick this morning."
Lisa's jaw dropped in surprise. "Wait really??? Does she have a cold? Oh god... was it because of me? Should I have given her my hoodie? It was pretty cold out-"
"Lalisa Manoban. Stop rambling like an idiot and go check on her."
"Right. Yeah. Imma go now. Tell the teachers that I'm feeling sick." Lisa shouted as she speed-walked towards the front doors of the university.
"Lovesick more like..." Jisoo mumbled.

"It's you. Again. Why am I not surprised..." Mr. Kim sighed.
Lisa cleared her throat. "I heard that Jennie was sick today, and I just wanted to make sure that she's okay."
"She's fine. Thank you for your concern, but you may leave now."
"With all due respect, sir, but I won't be going anywhere until I see your daughter."
Mr. Kim groaned. "Fine. Yes. Whatever. Come in."
Lisa excused herself before rushing up the stairs. She gently knocked on Jennie's door.
"I told you I'm not hungry dad!" Lisa giggled as she heard Jennie yell from the other side.
"Nini, it's me."
Jennie widened her eyes, jumping up from her spot in bed, rapidly combing her hair with her fingers before clearing her throat. "Oh, umm... you may come in." She cringed at the formality in her own tone.
"Are you feeling okay?" Lisa sat on the edge of the shorter girl's bed.
"Yeah. It's nothing big, really. I haven't been sleeping well this weekend and I guess I caught a cold." Jennie admitted with a sheepish grin.
Lisa sighed. "I shouldn't have brought you to the carnival on Friday night-"
"No! I-I mean... I really enjoyed it. I regret nothing. It was one of the best nights of my life, and I'm glad we went together." (Jennie was not going to admit that she couldn't fall asleep for two nights in a row because of Lisa.)
The taller felt a blush creep onto her cheeks. "Oh- umm, okay. That's good to know..."
The room fell silent.
Jennie buried her face into her palms. "Sorry... I made things awkward didn't I? I always ruin things."
Lisa pulled the embarrassed brunette into a warm embrace. "Don't apologize for that. Ever. I love how awkward you are. It's adorable, you little dork."
