"Love is brave, but I've been scared
I look around, see no one there
And still feel close to you."

"You're my sunshine
You're my rain
You're all I've lost
Yet all I've gained."

"So what should I do when I'm dark
and I'm blue?
When you light up my room from
July until June
What would I do if there wasn't a you?
Would you sing about me
like I sing about you?"

"What should I do in the darkness of you?
When you light up my moon
from July until June."

"Yellow Lights" by Harry Hudson
(First song on Jennie's Spotify playlist.)

Rosé sat alone in the corner of the cafeteria, staring at nothing in particular.

Earlier this morning, she witnessed a sight that she wished to never see again, especially now that she knows how Lisa feels.

After the Thai confessed her feelings for Jennie, Rosé became hyperaware of every little interaction between them.

She saw the way that Jennie blushed whenever Lisa was around. She saw how Jennie would rapidly fix her hair when Lisa did as much as look in her general direction.

'Does Jennie like Lisa? Because it sure as hell looked like it. It doesn't even matter, does it? Lisa likes Jennie... no. Lisa is in love with Jennie.'

Not Rosé. Never Rosé.

It wasn't fair.

Jennie has a hot boyfriend. Jennie is drop-dead gorgeous. Jennie is filthy rich. Jennie is Lisa's bestfriend. Jennie knows more about Lisa than Rosé ever will. Jennie is an actual student at this university, and not some random foreign transfer. Jennie gets to stay with Lisa in Korea.

Jennie's got it all.

'How could I possibly compete?'

What does Jennie Kim not have already? Why does she feel the need to take away the one and only girl that Rosé's ever liked too? Is it not enough? Is Jennie not content enough with her perfect life?

Is Jennie not content with dating the most popular guy on campus?

Why? Why Lisa? Why the girl that Rosé wants? The girl that Rosé needs.

And now... the girl that Rosé will never get.

The Aussie was clenching her fists so hard that she could feel her nails puncturing through her flesh. She looked down at her bloody palms with a blank expression, multiple indents from her sharp nails covered all over the surface of her pale skin. 'Why her? Why not me?'

She was snapped out of her thoughts by the low, raspy voice of Kim Jisoo.

"Here." The purple-haired girl said, holding out a couple of bandages and a bottle of disinfectant.

Rosé cleared her throat before accepting the help with a small smile. "Thanks."

Jisoo stared at the Aussie for a moment, before wordlessly walking away.

Lisa sighed, dropping her bags down onto the floor. As she looked around the walls of her dorm room, she could see the hundreds of polaroid pictures that captured every tender memory of her time here in Korea so far.
