*knock knock*

Jennie hesitantly opened her front door.

"You wanted to see me?" Lisa asked after taking off her sunglasses. She tried to act as indifferent as possible.

The brunette fiddled with her fingers nervously. "About last night..."

"Oh, you mean when you were studying for the test we didn't have?" Lisa couldn't hide the spite in her tone.

Jennie's brows twitched in annoyance. "Lisa, I know you're upset. But I was just-"

"Upset? Jennie. You lied to me."

"Yeah well you didn't give me much of a choice, did you? I only did it because I knew you would react in this way!" Jennie retorted.

Lisa looked taken aback. "Really? Really Jennie? So it's my fault now? I don't get mad when you hangout with other people. I get mad when you hide things from me."

"Oh please. I was just catching a movie with them. It's not like we went out murdering people." Jennie rolled her eyes.

"You barely know them!"

"What are you my boyfriend!?"

That felt like a dagger to Lisa's heart. Right. They're only friends. As if she needed a reminder that all she'll ever be to Jennie is a friend.

Jennie instantly regretted her statement after seeing the defeat seep into Lisa's gentle eyes.

"I just worry about you, that's all. I'm sorry if I crossed a line." The Thai mumbled before putting her sunglasses back on. "Sorry I care." She wasn't going to let Jennie see her cry.

"W-Wait Lisa..."

"I didn't drive all the way here just to fight with you Jennie. Let's both calm down a little before we have this talk again." Lisa turned around, shoulders deflated as she made her way over to her car.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean that Lili..." Jennie buried her face into her palms. 'Why do I always manage to mess things up?' She frustratedly thought to herself.

"Did you two have a falling out? I couldn't help but overhear since you weren't exactly quiet about it." Mr. Kim asked from behind. His little smirk never ceased to rile Jennie up.

"Piss off already!" Jennie growled before stomping upstairs.

"What is he doing here." Lisa gritted through her teeth.

"Dunno, Jennie's the one that invited him." Jisoo whispered back.

The lunch table at the centre of the cafeteria: where Jisoo's clique sat every lunch. An exclusive "girls only" table. Individuals outside of her friend group had to be invited, however, there were never any boys until today.

"I want to vomit. They're being disgustingly cute." Dahyun stated in distaste.

"I know right. What happened to giRL pOweR." Irene complained.

"Umm... I can hear you, you know." Kai awkwardly replied.

"Yeah, that's like the whole point." Tzuyu said while rolling her eyes.

Jennie cleared her throat. "Settle down girls. He just wanted to get to know my friends. Stop being so hostile. He's a good guy."

'HE's a gOoD gUy.' Lisa mockingly repeated in her head.

Lisa couldn't even bring herself to look in Jennie's direction.
