14. Meet my Mom

I called Rain earlier and asked where they were. They said that they have bought the pizzas and are now on their way to my house.

I powered my legs up once more before running towards the direction to my house. I was going a bit too fast and didn't see when I have passed the two guys that I was apparently trying to catch up with.

"N/n! Back here!"

I slid to a stop before turning back to look at the two who had 4 Pizza boxes. Each holding two.

My house was about two blocks away now.

"Come on! Let's go! I want you to meet my Mom, Pikachu"

He froze.

"Wait wait wait! You didn't tell me that your Mom was home and that I'd have to meet her!" He exclaimed. "Do you not want to meet her Mother?" Rain asked, trying to take a slice of pizza from the box.

"I want to but isn't it too early?? We just met each other for the first time and on the first day of school too!" He said as sweat rolled down the side of his face.

"It's fine! My Mom's really cool. She already likes you so of course she would love to meet you. And I'm sure you'll love her too!" I said a bit too loudly but reassuringly.

I grabbed his wrist before turning to Rain. Rain was just about to take a bite of the slice of pizza he took from the box. I quickly swat his hand making the slice fall back into the box.

"Hey! What was that for!?" Rain said. "Trust me, I also want to eat a slice but we have a special guest today" I say gesturing to the fiddling boy next to me. I turn to look at Denki before snickering.

"Are you scared?" I teased him. "What me? Scared? Pfft- no wayy!" He said shaking his hand. I laughed as I saw sweat roll down the side of his face.

I started dragging the two boys with me towards my house. I unlocked the door and opened it wide enough. Rain pushed through me and Denki before walking in first. I rolled my eyes as Rain took off towards the kitchen, probably to finally get a taste of the pizza I didn't let him eat.

I took off my shoes and put them aside and walked in myself. I looked back to see Denki still standing there awkwardly. "What are you just standing there?" I asked and placed a hand on my hip. "MOM I'M HOME!" we heardRain shout from the kitchen. "HEY THAT MY LINE!" I shout at him.

"WELL TOO BAD CAUSE YOU WERE TOO SLOW!!" Rain shouted back. Rain laughed and took off his shoes before finally coming in and closing the door behind him. "WELCOME BACK BOTH OF YOU!" we heard my mom shout from upstairs, probably from the attic. I grabbed Denki's hand and dragged him to the kitchen first. I took the two boxes of pizza and left it on the counter next to Rain.

"Don't eat all of them water boy!" I say and took Denki's hand once again. By now Denki has probably gotten used to the warm tingly feeling of my hand.

I started walking towards the stairs that lead up to the attic. Denki looked around the house, examining anything and everything. Since we have now found out that we are soulmates, we will most definitely be going to each other's houses very often.

We climbed up the stairs to find my Mom sitting by some boxes that I've never seen before.

"Mom! Look who I met today!" I say cheerfully, letting go of Denki's hand I walked over to my mom and hugged her neck from behind.

"Hey baby, welcome back! And who's this someone you met?" My mom laughed and turned to look at Denki who stood at the door of the attic with a grin.

"Oh! Hello!" She said standing up and dusting off her pants. "Hello Y/n's Mom! I'm Denki Kaminari! Nice to meet you!'' He says as if he was nervous 5 minutes ago.

"What a polite little boy! You can call me M/n, it's nice to meet you too!" She beams at him. He stares at her in awe for a few seconds before regaining his composure.

"Does like...being this good looking run in the family?" He asked with weird hand gestures.

Mom and I exchanged glances before laughing. "Haha! I like this one! He's just like you N/n!" She says with a grin as she looked at me.

I walked over to Denki and grabbed on to his right hand with mine. I lifted up our hands just like how I did to show Rain.

"Mom look!" I said.

Her eyes fell down onto the writings on our wrists. She stared at it for a second before tearing up and smiling widely.

"Oh my gosh...you found each other!" She exclaimed before walking to us and pulling us in to a tight hug.

"Uh-uh mom I can't b-breath" I said.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I was just so excited that's all" She says and pulls away before sniffing. Denki pulls out a handkerchief from his pocket before handing it to my mom with a little fancy bow.

My mom chuckled and took the handkerchief from him and patted his head. "Thank you dear" She says as she smiled sweetly at him.

We spent the rest of the day just chatting and playing random games that me and my mom used to play. We also rescheduled the squad's meet up date.
