Y/N sat in the library of her high school, reading her favorite book. It was lunch period, but Y/N didn't really enjoy the noise and the crowd that came with lunch in the cafeteria. So, she just stuck to the library, since there would be little to nobody there. The girl got lost in her book, until the bell rang, snapping her out of her thoughts. She sighed, taking out a sticky note from her bag and placing it in the book as a bookmark, writing a tiny note in pen. "Please don't take this out! Thank you! - Y/N L/N".

With a smile, Y/N stood up and exited the library, meeting with her friends Lafayette, John, Hercules and Alexander. They were her best friends since freshman year, and even as years have passed by with new friendships and relationships forming, Y/N knew they were lifelong friends. "N/N!!" They shouted in unison, catching the attention of the other people in the hallway and making Y/N incredibly embarrassed.

She walked to them, not before being brought into a bone crushing hug by Lafayette, making the poor girl squeak. "I have one lunch period in the library and you guys act like you haven't seen me since the beginning of high school." Y/N said, rolling her eyes as she was finally released from the Frenchman's grasp. He sure was…talented at hugs.

The boys all gave various excuses to why they missed her soooo much, and while they warmed her heart, Y/N thought they were also stupid. Honestly, part of her wanted to get back that book. Luckily for her, it wouldn't be that long until she got to return to the library, as the end of the day rapidly approached. Y/N looked at all the guys. "Okay. Before we go, I need to go back to the library and get that book, and you're all coming with me." She paused, giving a small smirk. "You don't get a choice."

After some minimal complaining, the group arrived at the library, in which Y/N sprinted to the area that she left the book. She made sure to put it in a very specific place so she could find it easily with no problems. The moment her hands touched the book, a wide grin crossed her face…but that disappeared when she opened the book.

John noticed that something was wrong by Y/N's change of expression. "What's wrong, N/N?" He asked softly, looking at her with a concerned gaze.

Y/N met John's gaze, and sighed. "Someone took out the bookmark I had. I was really relying on that…" She said. Most people would think that Y/N was overreacting, but the guys were never ones to judge her on the things that upset her.

John pat her on the shoulder when he noticed a blue triangle sticking out near the back of the book. "What's that?" He asked, pointing it out.

Y/N raised an eyebrow and opened the page to see a sticky note. Not the same sticky note she herself had used earlier, but a newer one. On it was a simple sentence. "You're locker number 113, right?"

It took a few moments to process what the hell she had just read, but Y/N managed. "Umm…I think I'll stop by my locker." She said quietly, exiting the library.

Though she expected the rest of the time to be quiet, Y/N may have been a bit foolish for thinking so. Before she knew it, she was draped over Hercules's shoulder as the group bolted down the stairs to where they knew her locker was. "gUYS WE COULD HAVE JUST WALKED!" Y/N shouted, when she was placed on the floor and steadied by Lafayette.

"Nonsense, mon ami! You clearly have some secret admirer, and it is important we know about the whole thing!"

"And why do you guys need to know so much?" Y/N asked, crossing her arms and quirking an eyebrow.

"Because we're your best friends!" Alex said.

"And your wingmen." Hercules added.

Y/N rolled her eyes. "I think you're overthinking. But…I guess we should see whatever is in here…just in case." She sighed, unlocking her locker to see things pretty much the exact same as it was when she last went through it…except one thing. A sticky note.

Y/N quickly took out the sticky note, her eyes scanning over it. It seemed to be the same note she had left in the book earlier, but there was an arrow at the bottom, so naturally she turned it over. To her surprise, there was new writing.

"I have the honor to be your obedient servant. A. Burr." It said with a phone number written beneath. The handwriting was neat and precise, like someone took their sweet time writing this. Just at the bottom, Y/N noticed some more writing in the corner. "PS: You were on page 347."

Y/N stared at the note, her eyes wide and face as red as a rose. Alex was shouting something about whoever wrote the note and Hercules was shouting back, but Y/N paid no mind.

This wasn't what she was expecting. But?

She was pleasantly surprised.
