John and Peggy walked inside the apartment they shared, both of them shivering like mad. It was snowing outside, and the two of them had the brilliant idea of going out and going on a walk around the town square. It was a nice time, but they were absolutely freezing. Of course, they had bundled up, but that apparently wasn’t enough, especially not for John who didn’t bring gloves, something Peggy scolded him for.

“G-God...my hands...cold…” John muttered, shaking his hands and making Peggy roll her eyes.

“That's what you get for not wearing gloves when it’s snowing outside, honey.” She said, taking off her winter coat and placing it on the coat rack. “But we’re inside now, so just find a way to warm them up, I don’t care how.”

John then got a devilish smirk on his face. “Any kind of way?” He asked, clearly plotting something.

Peggy however, wasn’t fully paying attention, taking off the rest of her winter wear. “Yeah, yeah.” She said, bent over as she took off her boots.

John took this as his opportunity, and swiftly took Peggy’s shirt and lifted it just enough so he could sneak his hands in, making Peggy squeak.

WHAT THE FUCK?!” She yelled, her face now redder with blush. “Get your cold ass hands out of my shirt and off of me!”

John cackled, only moving his hands downwards towards Peggy’s hips and pulling her to his chest, grinning down at his girlfriend, who was beyond flustered. “You’re cute when you’re mad at me.” He said, smirking.

Peggy huffed in a flustered sigh. “Shut up Laurens.”

He chuckled, kissing the top of Peggy's head. "Love ya, Peggs."

Peggy let out a small "hmph", resting her head on John's chest. "You're stupid."

   "You love me."

"Do I?"

    "Yes."

"You're right." Peggy sighed, wrapping her arms around John, a gesture he gladly reciprocated. "I love you a little too much, I think."

John arched an eyebrow. "Can you really love someone too much?"

   Peggy nodded. "Absolutely."

John thought for a moment, before nodding in agreement. "I suppose so. But I think we love each other just the right amount." He said, tickling Peggy's sides, making her squeal.

"Hey!! Don't!" She squeaked, trying to withhold her giggles.

"No can do, sweetheart." John said with a smirk as he whisked Peggy into his arms bridal style. "Now, would you like to warm up and watch a movie?" He asked, his smirk shifting into a kind smile.

Peggy nodded. "Can we watch The Princess Bride?" She asked, her eyes lighting up.

John smiled, kissing the tip of Peggy's nose. "Of course, my Buttercup."

And so that's what the pair did, huddling and snuggling underneath piles upon piles of blankets, using each other as heaters as they watched the movie, their happy giggles and laughs filling the room.

Peggy started to doze off, curled up on John's chest like a cat. "I love you…" She murmured, John was just barely able to make out what she was saying.

John smiled, kissing the top of her head. "I love you too."
