"We got lucky. There's a camera on a solar panel." Deputy Shoupe was telling us.

"We can't make out a face, but we were able to ID the other boat" he says showing us the video. Topper scoffs.

"Whose boat is it?" My mother asks

"Registered to Heyward, we think this is his kid." Shoupe says.

"All right, so she thought that I did this, Deputy, right?" Topper starts

"I told you, mom, not everything's my fault."

"Can we talk about this privately please?" She asks him

"If it makes you feel any better Top, I thought it was mom who did it." I joke trying to lighten the mood.

"So what happens now?" She continues completely ignoring me.

"Well, if you press charges, it will be up to juvenile court. Now Pope is 16. Could be tried as an adult he'd do time." Shoupe explains. Mom looks at Topper and I.

"Why are you looking at me ?" I ask her, she just sends me a deathly glare.
Right before Topper could say anything mom did for him.

"Press charges"

that bitch I thought to myself

"You know, Heyward, uh..." Shoupe starts.

"Deputy, I said press charges." Mom cuts him off.

"Yeah, all right. We're on it." He says hesitant before getting up and mom follows him.

"Fuck she is a bitch" I say to Top who looks completely out of it.

"Yeah she definitely is" he agrees with me.

Today is the midsummers party at the Cameron's house.

"Clara!" My mom yells from downstairs

"What!" I yell back

"Don't yell, come down I'm talking to you!" She doesn't yell apparently.

I walk downstairs to see Topper all dressed up. He gives me that ( don't you dare laugh) look.

"What do you want mother?" I ask she gasps and walks over to me.

"Don't you look absolutely beautiful but don't you think the eyeliner is a bit much" she says examining my outfit, hair and face. I roll my eyes.

"Ok I need a picture of you two together" she says. Topper and I both groan, he puts his arm around my shoulder and we both give her our fakest smiles.

20mins later

"Ok it's time to go my darlings"she says.
We follow her to the car and drive to the Cameron's. I'm kind of nervous to see Rafe for some reason.

We pull up to the house and I see Pope there which was weird considering my mother pressed charges so I walk over to him.

"Hey Mr. Heyward" I say, he turns and his face softens when he realizes it's me.

"Hi Clar" he says back.

"I'm sorry about my bitch mother pressing charges" I tell him still wondering how he is here.

"Well JJ took the fall so yeah" he says sounding a bit mad at me.

"Wait really ?" I ask

"Yup" he says shortly.

I was going to say something else but then the hosts of the party walk out. Starting with Ward and Rose, Rose looks like she has a torture device on her head. Then Wheezie and Rafe, lord have mercy he looks good. Finally Sarah follows after Rafe.

I walk over to where Top is to see what he is doing to see him having a conversation with Sarah as I start to walk away I feel someone grab my arm and pull me to the side of the house. Of course it was Rafe who else would it be.

"Hi, You look beautiful" he says smiling at me.

"Thank you Cameron. You don't look half bad yourself" I say joking he just keeps staring at me.

"Rafe ,just kiss me already" right after I say that he crashes his lips into mine as I'm now pushed against the side of the house.

"I missed doing that" he confesses once we pulled apart.

"You kissed me yesterday, love" I tell him while I place my hand on his cheek.

"Love?" He questions.

"Sorry, I just have a habit of calling people that" I say getting embarrassed.

"Don't be sorry, I like it, but I want you to only call me that not anyone else, ok angel ?" he says to me and my breath hitches when he called me angel and I think he noticed.

"I think I just melted" I think to myself

"You like that?" He asks I just nod not being able to talk in fear of it just coming out as a moan.

He kisses me again this time hungry and angry. I feel his tongue brush my lip asking for entrance and I allow it now fully making out with Rafe Cameron. His hands, one is holding my jaw while the other is very close to my ass. I let out a quite moan when he grabs my ass. He smiles into the kiss.

"Hey, Rafe why are you over here ?" Ward Cameron asks walking around the corner causing us to break apart.

"Uh just saying hi to Clara. Why ?" Rafe says sounding a bit off.

"Ok well come out and say hi to everyone" he tells him walking off. Rafe kisses me again before walking away.
