Chapter 3: Him

Angelique kept on having those kind of dreams almost every night. She probably know they are just dreams but it felt so real for her. It feels like they really happened back then. And it feels like she really saw the future.

She woke up again with Yanne's knocks. She's finding a shopping buddy. It has also been a while since they bonded together so Angelique just agreed. Liyanne tends to be really clingy sometimes.

"Ate, not yet done? Kuya Mario's waiting for us," Yanne shouted outside my room.

"Just a second," Angelique lied. She is still in the shower, having her mini concert while her sister is eager to go and rushing her to finish off.

They went on their way to the mall. It only took a few minutes, the destination is just near the subdivision where they live.

First off , of course, is Liyanne's shopping galore. Angelique felt so out of place everytime Liyanne is with her, shopping. Angelique believes that she doesn't have that fashion sense and always leave the decisions unto her sister. On the other side, the younger sister picked clothes simultaneously, with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Try this, this, and I think this will fit." She handed Angel three different outfits. Angelique took them to the fitting room then showed it to her sister. All of them got the approval of the fashion enthusiast (Liyanne).

"I want to buy new books. I ran out of books to read," Angelique invited when they are done with the clothes.

"Sure, but can we make it quick? I'm allergic to books, you know," Liyanne answered jokingly.

But isn't it true? She hates reading. But that doesn't mean she don't study well. They are a family of smart people, afterall. Their dad is the owner of one of the biggest food companies in the country while their mom graduated with a BS in Nutrition degree. The oldest daughter, Angelique is a business law student. Lastly, Liyanne is studying Food Technology and Dieteries. She's interested in science, which Angelique really despise. If Liam didn't die, he is determined to be a veterinarian.

Angelique smiled at her while nodding. They went to a bookstore and started to grab some school supplies. Angelique's planning to continue her studies. It's her last year in the university and it would be a year to waste if she doesn't enroll. The same as Liyanne, they both on the last year.

Angelique went to the novel and pocketbooks section until she found something interesting. This is the synopsis of the book.

'I regretted many choices I made all throughout my life.

I've resented my father without knowing the truth. I never had the chance to say I love you to my loved ones.

I have also wished to cut my life because of the massive destruction inside me.
But now...

"You just have at least a year to live."
I can't just die right now. I just can't.'

She grabbed the novel titled, 'What is Life?' But when she turned to leave, she accidentally bumped with a guy.

"Sorry," the guy immediately picked up the books the fell to the ground and gave it to Angelique.

"Sorry, Angelique. I forgot to check my car before we left."

"What can I do? It is not as if we can solve this mess just with my nagging."

She seems to be hearing things again. Angelique massaged her temples when she felt the sudden pain.
