GWEN landed on the side of the school using her stickiness to crawl down the wall and land on the soft grass. She quickly changed out of her suit into her torn school clothes. She poked her head out a little to see all of the kids wearing uniforms, and her clothes looked somewhat similar to the others. She quickly stuffed her suit into her bag and took off her web-shooters and zipped up her bag, leaving it on the grass. She walked casually towards the group and tried her best to keep herself hidden.

She made her way into the busiest spot of the group that was outside, as a dark-skinned lady made her way up onto the wooden stage that towered a little over the students. She tapped the microphone and she cleared her throat.

"Welcome everyone, to Visions!" she boomed, and everyone stopped chatting and looked at the lady. As she continued talking, Gwen looked around and saw a dark-skinned boy with a little bit of an afro for hair. She couldn't take her eyes off of him, he was so strangely fascinating to her.

....

MILES got immediately bored as evaluation began and he was so hot because of the sweltering sun that was shining on them. He couldn't focus and he wished he had his phone with him so he could listen to music and tune everyone out. He looked around and then his eyes landed on a girl's bluebell eyes just staring at him.

Peculiar. Girls never stared at him unless he did something weird that could capture the attention, but this girl was different. She had blonde hair that was cut short, pale skin, and from a distance, he could see she had light freckles spread across her cheeks.

The girl was pretty. And staring at him.

He stared back at her and then something snapped him out of his gaze. Some students were playfighting and bumped Miles, causing him to fall backward, pushing apart some students in the group.

Then just as he was about to hit the ground, some arms immediately wrapped around his underarm and caught him.

"You okay?" a female voice said as the person helped him stand up.

"Thanks-" Miles stood up and got a look at the person who helped him.

The same girl who was staring at him. The girl smiled, showing a significant gap in her teeth, and nodded. "Anytime."

Miles was fascinated with the way she looked. She looked even more perfect up close. He could hear his heart begin to beat faster in his chest.

"W-What's your name?" He looked at the girl and she tucked a tuft of hair behind her ear.

"Gwe-aanda." She stretched out the name as if she wasn't sure what her name was or she was hiding something as she furrowed her eyebrows and then it disappeared. She awkwardly smiled and held out a hand. "It's a South African name."

Weird, but okay.

Just shut up and shake her hand, Miles. Miles smiled back and shook her hand. "Well, Gwanda," Miles says with certainty. "I'm Miles."

They look at each other for a while and then noticed that the majority of the students were gone.

"Uh- Can I s-show you around?" Miles looked at Gwanda.

She smiled again and nodded. "Sure."
