"I wasn't told we were going to be roommates!" Atsushi shouted.
"We don't have enough room, you see." Dazai simply said.
"But..."
"She agreed."
"It was an order." Kyouka corrected.
"Don't you get it, Atsushi-kun?" Dazai asked.
He waved for the young boy to come closer. Atsushi leaned in. "Get what?" He sighed.
"Without any kin, she is as alone as can be. Besides, the Port Mafia may send assassins after her." Dazai explained.
"That's true." Atsushi whispered.
"You should protect her." Dazai suggested.
"Okay, I'll do my best!" Atsushi agreed. He turned around and walked back over to his desk. A dumb smile was plastered over Dazai's face as he turned in his chair.
"If you have the time to mess with Atsushi, write up the report about your capture by the Port Mafia." Kunikida demanded.
Dazai turned his chair the other direction, facing Atsushi. "Atsushi-kun." He called.
"Yes?" Atsushi answered enthusiastically.
"Write the report for me."
"What?"
Misaki grabbed a random book, and slapped Dazai over the head with it. "Do it yourself, you lazy ass."
"Hey! That's mean!" Dazai whined.
Misaki rolled her eyes at the idiot. "Do I look like I care. Stop messing around with the boy and do it yourself." She demanded.
Dazai turned to Atsushi, completely ignoring Misaki. "It'll be about the person who placed a bounty on your head." Dazai said.
"You found out who?" Atsushi asked excitedly.
Dazai held up a small drive. "According to the Port Mafias communication records, the bounty was funded by the leader of The Guild, a North American organization of the gifted." Dazai explained.
"The Guild is considered an urban legend. Their agents are said to hold key positions in finance, politics, and the military. They are a secret society who use their limitless funds and abilities to plot countless schemes." Kunikida said.
"In other words, they're rich assholes." Misaki said.
"Why would such a group want Atsushi?" Kunikida asked.
The sudden sound of a helicopter brought them out of their serious conversation. Misaki looked out the window, it was hovering just above there building.
Junichiro then barged into the room. "You need to come see this!" He yelped.
They all ran up to the roof, and watched as the helicopter parked itself over moving traffic. "It seems we've been preempted." Dazai said.
Misaki glared over at the rich blond staring back at them. "I hate them already." Misaki muttered.
They heard the door behind them open up, they turned around and saw the president come out after them. "What are you doing here?" Kunikida asked.
"You all go back down to your desks and continue your work. I'll have Naomi accompany me while I have a little chat with The Guild's leader." He explained. "Move along now."
~
They all went back to their desks. Junichiro anxiously sat at his hoping his little sister was alright up there.
Whatever conversation they were having, it was taking quite a while. The room was pretty quiet. Most likely because everyone wanted to listen in on the conversation, but they couldn't hear anything either way.
"What does their leader want with us?" Atsushi asked.
"They probably haven't given up on Atsushi yet. My best guess is the want to buy The Agency next." Misaki said.
"The building?" Junichiro asked.
"Not necessarily. He most likely wants to buy us. If he had that bounty set on Atsushi. It's likely that he's coming for us too." Misaki assumed.
"Would the president agree to something like that?" Atsushi asked.
"Of course not." Kunikida answered. "No amount of money would make him do such a thing."
"Their leader most likely came here expecting an easy deal. Fortunately for us, we won't have that problem." Dazai smirked.
"But that doesn't mean it'll end there." Misaki said.
"What do you mean?" Atsushi asked.
"With how rich that man is, and how many ability users he has working for him, I can already tell the man is as stubborn as one could be. He won't give up. Not just yet anyways." Misaki explained.
"She's right. So we all need to keep a heads up for anything suspicious. And also keep an eye out for each other." Dazai suggested.
"If you say so." Atsushi sighed.
Misaki turned to Dazai and pulled in his ear. "Ow!" He whined.
"You should probably start working on the report now. You don't want to irritate me, do you now?" Misaki asked.
"Atsushi-kun." Dazai sang.
"Do it yourself!"
~
Misaki sat at her desk completely bored. Suddenly, her phone buzzed right next to her. She picked it up and looked at the message, a small smile apprising one her face.
With all that has happened to her these past few years, it was nice for Dazai to know that there was at least one more thing she could enjoy. And it was being around certain people.
"What's with the smile?" Dazai asked.
"My grandpa invited me for dinner." Misaki responded.
"Are you going?" Dazai asked.
"Of course."
Dazai smiled at the girl, then patted her head. "Can I come?" He asked.
"No." Misaki said bluntly.
"You're so mean." Dazai whined.
"Sorry, but I think I'd rather it be just the three of us. My grandma loves you way too much. It gets tiring sometimes."
"What could I say? I'm just that amazing and beautiful." Dazai bragged. Misaki rolled her eyes at him. "Then can you bring me back whatever your grandmas making?"
Misaki sighed. "Sure." She responded.
"You're the best." Dazai cheered.
"I'll be heading out now. I'll see you back at home." Misaki waved.
"Stay safe."
"Will do."
She walked out the room and over to the elevator. But once it opened again, she was confused to see Kenji's hat randomly on the floor. She leaned down and picked up the hat. Maybe he had dropped it when he went to the cafe.
Walking outside, she didn't see the boy anywhere through the window. She looked back at the hat worriedly. She hoped nothing had happened.
Was supposed to update this morning but forgot to. Anyways, here ya go
