"So, the Walcotts were the first... at least, the first we know about. Four murders--Sean, his brother, and their parents. They were killed by a professional assassin called the Mute; weapon of choice, a military tomahawk. But then, the Mute was killed by Peter Hale after he tried to blow up Derek with a claymore mine. Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Lydia's lake house... and got decapitated outside his car." Stiles explained to his father. "And then, last night, twenty-three-year-old Carrie Hudson..."

Taryn ran her clammy hands down her jeans, looking anywhere but ahead of her, knowing Mrs. Crag, the school's counselor, would be staring at her, waiting for her to say something. It was the Monday after the full moon, and everything that took place that night and that entire weekend had left Taryn at a loss for words. She couldn't echo her thoughts to someone who had no idea of the supernatural, despite it being that that was bothering her. Well, not entirely that, but surrounding that.

"It's a dead pool--a hit-list of supernatural creatures." Scott handed Noah Stilinski the paper that explained all the recent murders. Noah took it from Scott and glazed his eyes over the black ink. "This is only part of it... The rest still has to be decoded."

"Lydia found the list," Taryn explained, seeing Noah's confused expression. "She transcribed it or something like that by accident." She glanced at Scott and Stiles, hugging her arms to her body. "Sorry, I still don't really understand the whole banshee thing."

Noah looked up from the paper, an un-amused chuckle filling the tense air. "You and me, both, kid."

A drawn-out sigh in front of Taryn caused her body to tense. Her hands clutched onto the bottom of Stiles' hoodie she had borrowed, starring out the window to her left. Mrs. Crag crossed her ankles, doing the same with her arms. "I was informed you were in the hospital a couple of days ago. How are you feeling?"

Taryn shrugged. "Fine."

"Are you sure?" Mrs. Crag pushed and Taryn tightened her fingers around her upper arms. "I heard you took a nasty fall."

"I said, I'm fine." Taryn spat out harsher than she intended. She sighed and drooped her head, running her hands through her tangled hair, her fingers getting caught in the knots. "I didn't mean to sound so mean. I'm just... I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Was it because of what happened at the party, Friday?"

What happened at the party. Taryn echoed those words to herself. Mrs. Crag was talking about Demarco, the apparent werewolf that was decapitated sometime on the street while Lydia's party was taking place. However, Taryn's mind turned to everything that happened just after the cops arrived to inspect the crime scene. There was the thing that happened in the basement just before the cops arrived and there was the list that Lydia decoded... The list, the dead pool, which had almost all her friends' names on it. She couldn't tell Mrs. Crag that that was what was bothering her.

Taryn looked up and bit the inside of her cheek. "No, no, not really. I didn't see anything."

Noah Stilinski shuffled through some crime scene photos and on the top a picture of Demarco's beheaded body stared at them. Taryn adverted her eyes, digging her nails into the palm of her hands. Stiles inadvertently stepped closer to her.

"You didn't know about Demarco or Carrie," Noah hummed, "but what about these other three names on the list--uh, Kayleen Bettcher, Elias Town, and Shen Wu? They're Werewolves, too?"

Scott shook his head. "I don't know... But Deaton said that the Nemeton would draw supernatural creatures here."

"Here being Beacon Hills, or Beacon County? The population of Beacon Hills is just under thirty-thousand--"
