She flickered her eyes over the handful of orange bottles stacked across the counter, one hand clutched the pills she had been prescribed before being discharged from the hospital. Taryn Brooks left the hospital around two in the morning after all her scans and tests came back normal. It was obvious they had no idea what was wrong with her because they claimed she had a virus. So all they did was prescribe her medication for all of her current side effects of said virus

A couple of pills for her dizziness and headaches. Something else for her occasional nausea. A spray for her nose bleeds. And something small for low-blood pressure, for her fainting spells.

It reminded Taryn a lot of the medication she was forced to take back at Eichen House and she hated it. If it wasn't for Melissa standing there, watching Taryn with laser-like vision with her cereal spoon hanging out of her mouth, then she would have never looked at the ugly clear orange bottles in the first place. So, to keep her adoptive guardian happy, she threw back the pills and chugged a glass of lukewarm water.

As soon as she had swallowed the pills and water, Scott popped into the kitchen after glancing into the living room, where his father had been sleeping last night but was now gone. A small twitch was running through the teenager's body that Taryn knew was because of what happened last night at the hospital with Liam Dunbar. She'd be lying if she wasn't also nervous, though she wasn't nearly as anxious as Scott, due to her limited knowledge of what Liam would be going through. All she knew was that if Liam turned into what Scott and Stiles said he would, then the full moon tonight would be hell. They already had Malia to worry about.

"Stiles is here. You're coming to school, right?"

Taryn glanced back at Melissa, knowing the woman wasn't fond of her going back to school so soon after whatever happened yesterday, but Taryn wasn't going to leave her friends to deal with their new problem by themselves. Before Melissa could meet her eyes, she turned to Scott and pulled on a fake grin.

"Yep!"

Scott held out her backpack for her to take and waited for her to head towards the front door, before following closely behind her with his own backpack hanging on one shoulder. However, before either of them left the house, they both called out to the woman silently eating her breakfast alone at the dining table. They waved in her general direction.

"Bye, Melissa."

"Bye, Mom."

The front door fastened shut behind them and Taryn's eyes snapped onto the familiar light blue Jeep. Stiles was inside, at the driver's seat, typing away frantically on his phone. In the passenger seat was Malia, who had her eyes directed at the McCall front door, and once she noticed the two exit, she said something snippy to Stiles, causing the boy to glance at her for a second, before turning to the two of them.

Seeing the girl and the boy, Stiles immediately rolled down the driver's side window and stuck his left arm and head out of it. Scott walked towards his motorcycle beside the boy and sighed seeing the unusually serious expression on his best friend's face.

"What are we gonna do about Liam?" Stiles asked and Malia nodded from beside him. "Or correction, what are you gonna do about Liam?"

Scott threw back his head. "I don't know."

"You don't know? Scotty, it's a full moon tonight." Stiles retorted. "We don't have time for I don't know's."

"Well, I mean I know I need to talk to him," Scott told him, shuffling out of the way as Taryn maneuvered to the back seating of the Jeep, keeping her head down as Malia turned to her with narrowed eyes. "I'll just... I'll need your help cornering him."
