Taryn shakily pulled herself onto her feet as Melissa came running around the corner, her scrubs and shoes caked in a light layer of blood. She cried in surprise upon seeing the brunette girl she took care of painted in the same red coloring. Without slowing down, she slid up to the younger girl and wrapped her hands around her upper arms to get her to face her and help her stand.
"Did he hurt you?" She asked in a panic, looking for any injuries on her skin. Her eyes were wide as she slid her hands down to the young girl's wrists as she lightly tugged her arms around. Taryn glanced back where Scott had disappeared a few minutes ago and back to the woman. Although it was obvious none of the blood Taryn's, Melissa's motherly and nursing instinct was kicking into full drive.
"No," Taryn said with a shake of her head, but internally cringing as her head pulsed. She tugged her hand from Melissa and settled her the palm of it against her forehead, closing her eyes. "No—" She stopped talking as an unsettling feeling clawed up her throat. She pushed away from the woman and stumbled backward into the wall. Her hands curled around the plastic railing and she blinked wildly as the world spun right under her feet. "—I'm gonna be sick."
Melissa responded quickly by sprinting into the hospital room and snatching one of the green emesis bags from the wall and quickly running back to Taryn and putting it up to the girl's mouth. Taryn reached up and grabbed the bag herself just as her stomach retched and all her food from the day spilled into the plastic bag. Fat tears rolled down her flushed cheeks and Melissa rubbed helplessly at her back, before helping lead her to her hospital bed, so she could sit down.
What is wrong with me? Taryn cried to herself, as another heavy dry heave escaped her lips. Her chest burned and a loud sob wrecked through her frail body. Her bloodied nose stopped dripping and it caked onto her skin with the other blood.
"Shh..." Melissa tried lowly to calm the girl down with soft and comforting whispers, bringing Taryn back to the first night she stayed at the McCall house. At the time, she had woke up from 'night terror' as the councilor calls it, though it was more like torments from Nogitsune, and Melissa was there to hold her until she stopped panicking. And here she was again, doing the same thing, for a different reason.
Eventually, after a couple of minutes or so of Melissa calming Taryn down, the dry heaving stopped and the world began to slow down to an eventual stop. Carefully, Melissa took the disgustingly filled puke bag from Taryn's hand and closed it, before throwing it away. Taryn leaned her elbows onto her knees and ran her hands over her face and through her hair, trying her best to understand what was happening.
Her head was still pounding, so when Melissa began talking to her in a normal voice again, it took a second for her to realize what she was saying.
"—cleaned up and talk to Doctor Harrison," Melisssa said, grabbing another robe from the locked closet to her right. She handed it to Taryn and the girl numbly took it and headed into the bathroom, leaving Melissa to figure out what she needed to do next. "I can't have normal kids or a normal life, can I?"

"So Scott bit Liam?" Taryn asked, holding her phone close to her ear as she watched Melissa through the small window in the door while she talked quite eccentrically to the older doctor across from her. They were discussing something quite heavily, but Taryn didn't know what. All she knew was that the Doctor was planning an brain scan of some sprts for her and before he could explain much more, Melissa dragged the man out of the room and closed the door. Stiles called her almost right after the door shut. "And then he kidnapped him? And then he got away?"
"Yeah," Stiles sighed, the sound of his Jeep's engine roaring to life was heard through the call, "his plans suck."
"I don't want to be the one to tell you, but your plans suck too," Taryn admitted, but then shook her head weakly. "Well, most of the time, that is."
