Dream was immediately pulled into a hug by the smaller man, not exactly knowing how to react. On one hand, he finally is meeting his best friend, but on the other, he is finally meeting his newly developed crush.
"It's actually you! You're real!" George was smiling practically ear to ear, grabbing at Dream's arms and face.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm a dream come true. C'mon let's go, this place is crowded." Dream looked around, getting increasingly more anxious once again.
George plucked a black suitcase off of the conveyor belt before nodding. "Alright let's go. Sap's on stream right now right?"
"Yeah, so be quiet when we get back, okay?" Dream chuckled a bit, pulling George by the sleeve of his shirt to the exit, taking him to the parked car.
"Man, that flight sucked. Now I remember why I hate traveling." George laughed as he put his bag in the trunk and got into the passenger seat.
Dream started the car, the hum of the engine being the only noise between the two.
"So..." Dream started speaking, but really had nowhere that he was going with that statement.
"So...? Did you guys have any big party planned for when I got here?" George looked over at Dream as he started driving out of the parking lot.
"Nah. We did however get a bunch of food." Dream laughed, gripping the wheel tightly."
"I might end up just eating and then going to bed if that's alright with you guys. I haven't traveled that far in years and it took a lot out of me." George laughed softly.
"Oh yeah I don't mind-" Dream's words came out as forced, and unnatural. It was painfully obvious how nervous he was getting. George noticed this and just quieted down a bit.
"Hey. If it makes you feel any better, I'm still a bit nervous as well."Dream looked over. "Really?"
"Yeah I was practically dead the whole flight." George did that familiar giggle of his. Dream looked back away to the road.
"That's reassuring I suppose.." Dream bit his bottom lip. "Maybe tomorrow we can do some stuff? Like no cameras, just the three of us?""That sounds nice." George looked out the window to the fast moving road whipping past them. "What do you suggest around here, Florida man?"
Dream shrugged a bit, pulling onto his road. "Even though I've lived here for years, I still have no clue what to do around here. I've been too busy I guess." Dream parked at his house, turning off the car.
"Wow. Is this it?" George hopped out, walking around the back. "Expected bigger for someone so rich."
Dream rolled his eyes, walking to the front door. "It's got what we need. Rooms, kitchen, AC."
Upon opening the door, the two men could vaguely hear yelling from deeper in the house. Sapnap was still streaming.
"We have some leftover pizza from lunch if you want some of that, c'mon your room is this way." Dream led George through his house, to the spare bedroom Dream had cleaned and prepared so carefully.
Upon entering, George looked around. "Cozy. I like it." He smiled up at Dream, taking his bag and setting it on the ground next to the bed.
"Yeah.. Bathroom is at the end of the hall to the right, Sapnap's room to the left, and my room is across the hall. Let me know if you need anything, okay?" Dream smiled, starting to leave the room. He needed to breathe. To step away for a few minutes.
"Dream?"
Dream paused, turning around again. "Yeah?"
"I just wanted to say thanks.. For doing this all for me." George smiled.
Dream just nodded and walked out to his room, where the moment he closed the door, he collapsed on the floor. Dear god, this was exhausting.
Later that night, Dream had decided to leave his room to get a snack, walking into the kitchen to see George and Sapnap talking. The two went quiet when Dream walked up.
"Oh. I thought you were gonna go to bed." Dream just walked past the two to the pantry, where he grabbed some chips.
"We were just saying hi. Sapnap was saying that there's a laser tag place in town and we were agreeing that it'd be a pretty cool video." George looked away to Sapnap, who was taking a sip of a soda.
"Oh uh.. Yeah. Sounds like it'd be pretty fun." Dream just nodded a bit, going quiet.
"So.. George! Have you met Patches yet?" Sapnap motioned for George to follow him into the living room, giving Dream a 'you're welcome' look.
Dream took this as an opportunity to sneak back to his room, flopping down on his bed. Jesus. Who knew talking to someone who you were in love with could be so.. Awkward.
Dream eventually passed out due to exhaustion, waking up the next morning around 9. He wandered out of his room, still in the same clothes as the day before. Upon inspection, George was still asleep, and Sapnap was on the couch, watching some cartoons. Dream flopped down next to him.
"Hey dude. You sleep well?" Sapnap looked over at Dream from the TV.
"No." Dream groaned a bit, rubbing his face.
"Damn. Yeah I didn't get to sleep until like.. Two." Sapnap laughed a bit, leaning back. "Also uh.. George and I were talking about going on this nature trail thing. So probably when he gets up we'll do that. Sounds good to you?"
Dream thought for a moment. Just the three of them in the woods. "Alright. I can pack us some stuff so we don't die." Dream chuckled, standing up.
Dream walked into the kitchen, grabbing a few water bottles and setting them on the counter. Just at that moment, Dream heard the sound of a door opening and closing, accompanied with footsteps walking towards the kitchen.
"Oh hey Dream." George yawned, pulling open the fridge and grabbing a capri-sun (which Sapnap had begged to get). "Jesus. How do you two live here? It's so humid."
Dream and Sapnap laughed together.
"Told you he wouldn't last." Sapnap looked over the back of the couch to George. "Welcome to Florida baby."
George rolled his eyes. "Are we still going on that trail?" He looked over to Dream.
"We planned on it." Dream leant on the counter.
"Alright, guess I'll go get ready then." George finished his juice before throwing the trash away and returning to his room. Dream and Sapnap were silent before Sapnap spoke up.
"That was way less weird than last night."
"Shut up."
