It had been a week since Amity went into a coma. Luz visited everyday to drop off gifts, precious items that served meaning to both her and Amity, and to tell her about her day. This time, she brought King with her, to maybe cheer up this melancholy event. "She's really asleep huh? No sign of her waking up?" King asked in a curious voice as he looked at Amity's resting body with a moderate expression, " Remember what I told you? She's not asleep she's, just not here right now, she's gone somewhere for a while", Luz said in a slightly defeated voice."Where did she go? Is the place she went similar to earth? Could we find a portal key and go find her?", King got up from the pillow he was sitting on, awaiting for Luz's response. Luz had been exhausted from this tragic ordeal, along with her life force slowly draining away with each coming day. She was coughing more often, and had to take breaks from talking and activities when she had the time." The place where Amity is at, is far from being similar to Earth, she's in a place that's...only available to her, and there's no way for us to reach her-", Luz stopped speaking, her mouth became a slight frown, with her lifeless eyes looking as if they were to burst with tears at any moment. King took notice of this and left the room for a brief second, and then came back with something in his hand, a picture. The picture of Amity, Luz, Gus, and Willow were in at Grom.

Luz's eyes widened, and her lifeless eyes gained a sense of life again. She smiled and held the photo, gently rubbing the side of the photo with her thumb. King walked up to Luz and rested himself in her lap. " It feels like forever ago that we went to Grom, I still remember us being crowned the Grom queens.", Luz said with a smile, something she hadn't done in a while. " You better remember! I was the one who announced it!", King stated in a sarcastic and stern voice. Luz laughed and scratched King's head. "Once Amity gets better, you think we could do another Grom? But this time there will be more offerings and less fear, even though I like fear", King said with courage and anticipation. " Yeah, I'd like that", Luz said weakly, she was beginning to cough and lose her breathe. King looked at her with a worried face."Luz, you won't go to the place where Amity is right ?", Luz looked him in the eyes." I can't promise you I won't, but I know I'll try my hardest not to, because us weirdos have to stick together, til the end, right?" Luz smiled to reassure King."That's right! and if you did go away, I'd do everything I can to find you, me, Eda, and everyone. Luz's pupils shrunk, with a shocked expression, she hugged King tighter than she ever had. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. " It's open!", and as the door opened, Odahlia and Alador stood in the door frame."Oh, hello Luz, we didn't know you were here today", Odahlia said in a casual voice. Over the span of Amity's condition, Luz had gotten closer to her parents, as she didn't want any conflict in such a hard time for both Amity's family and friend group. At first Odahlia blamed Luz for Amity being sick, but Alador convinced her that this was out of their control, and Luz had nothing to do with it. Amity didn't allow for her parents to visit her, she didn't want to be lectured for hours on end while resting. "We stopped by to see how our Mittens is doing, we haven't seen her since she first got admitted here. It's heart wrenching to say, she's not in the best condition", Alador held Odahlia's hand to comfort her, both looked at the heart monitor and then looked at Luz. " She loves you so much you know, more than she has ever loved us even. Luz looked up with a furious expression. " You're dang right she does, you took control of her social life and how she grew up for your own selfish status. You robbed her of being able to make friends, you caused her to be cold and isolated, you should be ashamed!", Luz bawled up two fist, and hit the ground, King helping her down. Odahlia and Alador stood there quietly,faces full of doubt and realization of what they had just been told." Luz, we are aware of our past mistakes as her parents, and we have changed since then.", Alador said in an attempt to clear the atmosphere." We... know she doesn't and didn't want us here, but as our daughter, she is our number one priority, more of a priority than Blight Industries, our social status, everything." Luz got up from where she was laying, and walked up to both of them. "You can say how much you changed all you want, but that will never change what you did, and I will NEVER forget what you did to my girlfriend. If I were you, I'd leave and wouldn't come back anytime soon." "Why you-, WERE grieving too and you have no right-", Alador stopped Odahlia from saying another word, and they both left the room, with Odahlia scoffing. A huge sigh of relief escaped from Luz, she leaned against the wall and slowly fell towards the ground. King grabbed a pillow from the couch in the room and placed it against Luz's head. Luz thanked him, and slowly rested her eyes, that outburst had taken all her energy for the day. King tucked Luz in with a blanket, and went to rest on his pillow next to her. Luz was in a room with two important people in her life, yet she felt alone. Lonely is something you should never be, when you feel yourself drifting from this life. Luz dreamt of her and Amity, being in the human world roller skating and enjoying human cuisine. She knew the dream wasn't real, because it was her brain thinking this is what she needs right now, and it was correct.
