Y/N POV

It had been a few weeks since the incident with Loki had happened and our banter hadn't slowed down one bit. There was one time where I had walked into the kitchen in a sports bra and tights after finishing a workout and Loki had commented, "You look delicious, pet." I of course tried very hard to ignore him but had gotten him back later that day when he was reading in the living room.

Without saying a word, I straddled his lap and started grinding on his crotch, all while staring into his eyes and smirking. It was only when he attempted to put his hands on my hips that I decided to get off and walk away as if nothing happened.

Over the weeks, multiple scenarios had taken place. A few sweet nothings whispered into each other's ears, some not so innocent touches here and there, and a few kisses that almost happened, each one getting closer to being real and each one giving my stomach more and more butterflies every time. Obviously, the team was quite confused with our behaviour, as half the time Loki and I ignored each other, and the other half, it seemed we were infatuated with one another.

Tony being Tony, decided to host a party at the tower for one reason or another. It was quite hard to keep count of all the events we had to celebrate. A few hours before the party, Nat, Wanda and I all went to our rooms to get ourselves ready. We had gone shopping earlier that day to buy dresses and I had chosen a navy, strapless, floor length dress that hugged my figure with a slit in the leg going up to my thigh.

I quickly took a shower and dried my hair before starting on styling my hair and adding makeup. My h/l, h/c hair was slightly curled and placed in a half up, half down do and I decided on a smoky eye look to match my dress. By the time I was finished, the party had already started downstairs on the main level and I met with Nat and Wanda looking stylish as always before joining the party.

When the elevator stopped at the right floor, a few faces stared in awe of our big debut, none more than the God of Mischief himself, though I couldn't see him. After a couple seconds, the strangers continued with their conversations and the two girls and I all set off in different directions. Wanda went to find Vision, Nat presumably was searching for Bruce or Clint, and I went straight to the bar. If I was gonna enjoy another one of Tony's party, then I would need a few drinks first.

I sat down on the stool and ordered a vodka soda when a handsome man introduced himself to me. "Ah, I finally see an upside to Tony's absurd parties," I said to the stranger. He had short brown hair and a small stubble and looked like he was in his late 20's. "Well I for once am glad that my friend dragged me here. I'm Nick." We continued flirting all night but not once did I notice the snarling, raven-haired God watching from a distance.

LOKI POV

I hate this. I hate him, the buffoon flirting with Y/n. What does she see in the guy anyway? He's not attractive, he's most likely as dumb as a rock and I bet that in no way he could make her happy. I didn't realise that Thor had come over and stood next to me, amused by my reaction to the scene in front of me. "You like her, don't you?" I was slightly startled by his appearance but even more unamused by his assumption. "What? Of course not, why would you think that, you oaf?" I spat out.

"Don't hide it Loki, I've seen your behaviour when you're around her and it's obvious. Maybe not to everyone else, but I know you brother. You wish to court her," Thor stated. He was right. Although it started as a joke, I had started to thoroughly enjoy the playful antics I participated in with Y/n. But she'd laugh at me if she knew the truth. There's no way she would accept me, especially my Jotun form. No one could accept me like that.

"So what? She would never return my feelings anyway. Besides, it seems she is having much more fun with that oaf over there," I exclaimed as I pointed towards Y/n kissing the disgusting mortal. "Who knows brother, she might just give you a pleasant surprise," Thor spoke softly before walking back to the couch where the other Avengers were. "If only," I sighed. "If only."

Y/N POV

One thing led to another, and now I was making out with this hot stranger. I broke the kiss, took his hand and led him back to my room. Did I really want to get laid tonight? Hmm, yeah pretty much. I kissed him again outside my door and was soon laying on my bed with him hovering over me.

God, that was the worst sex of my life. I was back at the bar, and that would be where I'd stay for the rest of the night. All I wanted was to get blackout drunk and forget this whole night altogether. Apparently, I looked as bad as I felt because a certain god strutted up to me, probably coming to gloat or rub something in my face.

I was expecting him to sit next to me but instead, he just whispered in my ear, "I bet I could've made you feel a lot better than that idiot." I sighed at his comment. I did not want to hear his antics. "Look Loki, I'm not in the mood for your jokes right now." He stayed quiet for a few seconds before saying, "And what if I told you I wasn't joking?" He then moved back and walked away. It had to be a joke right? But a tiny part of me wished it wasn't.
