Part 16 (Dawson's POV)

Dawson's POV

I was at practice just staring at the ice this morning was event full.. let me recap for you, I woke up an went down stairs to see Faith crying. Oliva an Fulton are divorcing an Olivia had left while Florence went to stay the night at Averman's, I didn't want to leave Faith but Fulton said I needed to go to practice and he would deal with Faith. I was so zoned out I didn't even realize Lauren was trying to talk to me until she was waving her hand in front of my face

Da- oh um yes?

she looked at me with this confused expression on her face

L- are you okay? you aren't even talking to me and you are so zoned out

I just nodded making her sigh

L- Dawson come on, you haven't talked to me in a couple days an I have no idea what's going on in your life! I'm your girlfriend I'm supposed to know what's going on in my boyfriend's life

I fought back the urge to roll my eyes

Da- I know that Lauren but you wouldn't understand!

L- how wouldn't I understand Dawson? please enlighten me.

Da- your parents are still together! you aren't getting yelled at by your dad everyday practically getting kicked out by him over because you called your mom a bitch during a argument! your mother isn't getting beat up by your dad, you have the perfect life Lauren god I wish I had your life! 

L- really perfect life?! not everyone's life is perfect Dawson!

Da- no shit Lauren! but yours's is! only thing bad in your life is that you have a physco Uncle who tried to kill my mother an raped her!

everyone stopped, they looked at us, Sam's face had a shocked expression on it and I just shock my head before skating off the ice. I walked into the locker room an ripped off my jersey when Bombay came in

B- Dawson, can I talk to you?

Da- sure, whatever.

I started throwing off my pads an gloves waiting for him to talk

B- I think it might be um best if you just take a break like instead of finishing the season, we called Fulton and he said he was coming to get ya.

 I looked at him with a even more angry expression

Da- your kicking me off the team?!

B- I just think it's best for your mentally health and everyone's safety if you don't play is all

I scuffed and looked at me

Da- everyone's safety?! are you kidding me?! so now you think I'm gonna hurt someone?! sorry to break it to yeah Bombay but I'm NOT my father.

he just looked at me an I took off the rest of my gear and skated before stuffing them in my bag

Da- I came here to play hockey not get babied over because my mommy and daddy are splitting up

B- that's not what we are doing Dawson we-

I cut him off

Da- don't bother trying to explain okay? just do me a favor an tell Lauren we are over.

with that I walked out of practice an sat on the sidewalk waiting for Fulton to come get me. he got in here only like 10 mins an I got in slamming the door

F- sorry man..

Da- it's whatever, does my mom know?

F- yeah I got a hold of her, she said if you want you can stay with us until the season is over in 2 weeks than you guys are gonna be leaving to Texas

I nodded and he started to drive off, I looked out the window almost half tempted to jump out of this car into on coming traffic but I didn't of course

Da- where's Faith? why didn't she come?

Fulton looked over at me than back at the road

F- she um ran off..

I looked right at him with wide eyes

Da- what! and you aren't looking for her?!

F- I was but I had to come get you, I was gonna go find her right after I got you..

Da- stop the car. 

he listened and I unbuckled myself

Da- I'm going to find her, you can drive around if you want but I'm going.

I got out of the car and took off running to try and find her, I was gonna find her no matter what
