being the bad guy

chapter 3

"you don't have to tell me what happened we don't really know each other and you have no reason to trust me but I want to help so do you want to try being friends first? that way we can get to know each other and when you're ready tell me what made you so sad?" I asked not sure if I sounded like a complete  idiot but I was trying. he looked at me confused but nodded anyway he rubbed the rest of the tears away and started laughing.

"you know your not really good at talking to people hehehe." he said genuinely happy. 

"heh w-well I have never done this before."I said pointing to myself "I mean not that I remember at least." I finished which made him confused.

"what do you mean? that is if you want to tell me." he said cheekily. I smiled and decided to tell him if I want him to be my ally and friend I need to be honest.

"well recently I woke up without most of my memories the only thing I knew was my name my brothers name but other than that I was completely lost. imagine my surprise to find the one who knew me! the only clue was stone! heh well its not completely terrible I mean sure he is suppose to be my brother but I didn't know him he was more like a stranger to me so I couldn't really feel sad about it I know I am a complete jerk!" I said angry at myself. sorry cross its not a lie but not the complete truth either. he looked at me sympathetically while patting my back.

"hey its-its ok I'm sure he would just want you to be happy even if you don't remember him much um I guess since you told me your problems I should tell you mine?" he ask confused.

"no its ok I-I didn't say that so you would open up I mean it would be nice but I don't want to force you." I tried to reassure him but it only served to make him even more determined to tell me for some reason.

"no its only fair you see I don't know if you could tell but this is my au heh and I'm the one who made it like this! it's all my fault. and just when I think I made a friend and I can leave all this behind we fight I mean I get it he's the creator but I didn't ask him to kill anyone! I just want to leave! but he said it was my fate to stay in my au and said it was my fault it got like this in the first place. he's right why did I think I could start over? have a second chance? I don't deserve it." he said with sadness. this made me angry everyone deserves a second chance especially if they are willing to change! and anyway who was ink to decide others fate? this only made me want to take him and hide him from ink in my castle so he could never! tell him his fate again. 

"true friends help each other threw thick and thin and by the way you described him I don't think he was a true friend though I haven't met him so I have no right to judge I still don't like him. people can leave aus as long as the main story is finished I mean I left mine I'm here! with you and anyway there is no story to finish here! it's just white space. to me it sounds like he abandoned you here." I said trying to explain. 

"wait we could have left this whole time! and it wasn't breaking some multiverse law or something! and he just left us here! ugh!" said who I assume is Chara considering the two red eye lights. in underverse that was an indication Chara was in control. 

"what do you mean us? is there more people here?" sorry cross I have to pretend to be ignorant I am not suppose to know anything about you yet. his eyes went back to normal and he looked sheepish. 

"oh um I guess it will be better if I just show you."he said pulling  out his soul. right in front of me was a red and white soul split down in the middle indicating a human and a monster soul. 

"w-what happened are you ok!" yes A+ acting me. 

"yeah just um just give me a minute I'll tell you." he said. then he told me everything that happened in his au and how his soul merged with a human and how the human was a goest right next to him everything even how they control him sometimes. then strangely I could see them x chara floating next to cross.

"um does this chara have white hair pale skin red and purple eyes with black surrounding it perhaps?" questioned staring right at them.

"wait you can see me!" said goest chara smiling happily and hopeful. cross just looked baffled. 

"well yes but I couldn't before cross told me about you weird." I said confused. chara looked delighted.

"oh my gosh cross we ARE keeping him!" chara said exited and cross just chuckled. 

"wait you can make portals like ink can right? does that mean you can take us out of here?" said cross. I nodded and cross and x chara looked ecstatic.

"though ink won't be too happy about that and he might just bring you back if I just drop you off at any random au." I said trying to ease into the topic of bringing them to the castle. they looked hurt and at a loss for words. 

"ink really doesn't want us to leave huh." said cross dejected.

"well I was going to say you live with me in my au but I can't just let you live there for free how about you become my body guard?" I persuaded. it seemed like a good start and a job he would be good at. he smiled and nodded his head and out of nowhere he hugged me and started sobbing thank you's I just patted his back happy to have made my first friend in this world.
