being the bad guy

chapter 6

"hey nightmare." cross spoke.

"yeah?" I asked confused.

"what au are we going to first? dusttale or killertale?" he asked a VERY valid question that I didn't know the answer too so I just decided on one as quickly as possible.

"I was thinking dusttale he might not be very sane but at least he has emotions unlike the sans in killertale who doesn't I think dusttale sans will be easer to convince. why? did you have an au in mind that you wanted to go to first?" I asked after bullshitting my way through that whole oversight of mine in not picking an au to go to thank god for my quick thinking or I would have looked like the most idiotic person in the world with big dreams. 

"no I was just wondering, so my job is to protect you while you try to convince the sans of the au right?" cross asked.

"yes that was the plan you are my body guard now." I answered.

he smiled and without saying a word hugged me. "I'm just glad you were the one to find and save me...I promise to protect you ok? so... don't leave me." he asked.

 " I promise we are going to be best friends forever or as long as you're ok with having me?" I said.

"of course." he smiled.

I got our stuff ready and told a passing shadow papyrus to spread the news that anyone new in this mansion that they see are guests and to welcome them. once that was done I made a portal leading to my new target to become my ally dust sans.

once we were through the portal we started looking for the sans of the au starting in the ruins because from there we will be able to find him by following the dust piles once out of the ruins we headed for snowdin then waterfall and then hotland till we finally reached the judgment hall were we found him battling the human I grabbed the human by the waste with one of my extra appendages binding there arms in the process using another to silence them. 

"hello." I said my voice echoing throughout the hall. cross had his sword ready to strike if anything goes wrong. 

"hello." dust said back with no hesitation. "who are you two?" he asked. "I thought we killed everyone in the underground?" he questioned while motioning to the child I had in my grasp.

"you did." I stated.

he didn't seem to know what to say staring at me like I had grown two heads.

"we aren't from your universe." cross helpfully provided. I just nodded dumbly. 

"then who are you?" he asked. "and what do you want?" 

" I wanted to make a deal. we can take you out of this hell hole of an au and if you come you can help us in our search to stop resets all together throughout the multiverse so no au or alternate universe has to go through them ever again you in?" I offered.

"... how do I know you telling the truth?" he asked.

"you don't. I suppose you'll just have to take a leap of faith unless of course you're completely content with killing everyone you know and love over and over again for eternity and continue playing the game your human loves so much?" I said looking at the squirming human in my grasp seeming angry by the prospect that there game is going to end.

" 'sigh' I'll do it anything to stop this hell." he said defeated.

"Wonderfull! we must get the things for your room set up oh! and clothes I completely forgot! cross your going to need so too! come we must hurry!" I said completely loosing my scary face and changing to how I really feel.

as I made a portal I heard cross say something that made me smile. "hehe you'll get used to it come on nightmare doesn't like to wait." and he dragged the unsuspecting dust along.
