being the bad guy

chapter 7

"alright dust you can choose anything you want from here to decorate your room with and then after we have everything we will get you and cross clothing considering you both are in great need of some." I said after we entered a store filled with furniture like beds but also wall paper and paint basically everything you need to decorate a room. 

dust looked around and started picking things left and right and was practically done in like two seconds surprising me and cross because while I consider myself and by extension cross reasonable and fair he had only gotten the bear essentials he hadn't gotten paint or anything saying he had everything he needed with a smile. somehow that smile convinced me that he really only wanted what he already had but that didn't stop me from buying him a few more essentials and then stopping to get clothes for them both. 

once we entered the palace me cross and dust got to work painting (clearly an essential) and decorating once we were done I was more than satisfied even if we were covered in paint and other stuff because of it. the walls were painted in a way that made it look like the sunset I didn't know why he wanted that but it ended up looking beautiful so I was happy with it. I lined his bookshelf with all different kinds of astronomy books and a few photography books just because. lastly he had a brand new desktop computer on his new white desk all in all I think todays room making was a success not only because the room looked good but me and cross somehow ended up making dust smile and laugh uncontrollably after cross accidentally dropped a pink paint bucket on me covering me in pink. 

after everything I decided to add one more adjustment to dusts room. well not really his room but his door. I took out black, white, blue, pink, and purple paint and made the best version of space that I could I didn't know why I thought doing this would be needed but I thought it would make finding his room easer. with this same thought in mind I went to crosses room and silently covered his door in white paint and put a huge red x that covered his whole door. dust and cross were currently in the shower so I didn't have to worry about them questioning me until they were done. 

I decided I was in need of a shower myself considering all the pink paint on me so I went to my room and took a shower in the bathroom. when I was done i was met with the sight of dust and cross right in front of my door smiling. well cross was smiling but I could tell dust was in a really good mood. 

"thanks for painting our doors." dust said softly.  cross just nodded. 

"its no problem! I thought it would be easier for you to find your rooms this way." I said smiling slightly. 

"still thanks you didn't have to help us with decorating our rooms and stuff but you did it was really nice of you." cross said this time. 

"it was the least I could do. hey are you guys hungry it's late I'll make us something to eat for dinner." I said while pulling them along to the kitchen. 

all in all today was a really good day.
