I walked up to the castle and decided to take a look inside it was extremely dusty like no one had lived here for a very long time or ever it had the minimum requirement for furniture which wasn't much frankly it didn't really give off the castle vibe more like someone put all there money on a huge house for appearances but didn't have enough for the basic necessity for living kind of thing which was sad but it didn't matter I could decorate it all I want after I become strong enough and gain allies fist the shadow papyrus.

I imagined negativity taking the form of a underfell papyrus because that is how they are suppose to look like and then all of a sudden there before me was a shadow papyrus in all there glory I knew first impressions were important and I did not want to look like a wimp in front of them so I did my best in sounding like a leader.

"hello shadow # 1 I am nightmare king of negativity and your ruler bow." I tried simple commands to see if he would listen to me but I had no reason to worry because he immediately bowed before me without much fuss something I had liked. I tried smiling to reassure him but it didn't seem to work it only made him look more serious for some reason it did not matter I'll have to make him memories the castle before anything so he can show the others so the cleaning will be more efficient once I have enough I'll order them to clean the bodies.

"shadow # 1 you are to be the leader of the other shadows you will memories these halls of the castle and show the rest the way and once that is over start cleaning your job is to organize the others get them to clean the castle and the dead bodies out side." I commanded. he nodded his head.

"um my lord may I ask why there are bodies to be cleaned?" he said curious but seemed to regret asking right after once I looked at him for some reason.

"I killed the previous residents of this village please refrain from asking anymore questions." I responded with a bite to my tone seeming to scar the shadow but I did not care the topic of the villagers was still a sore spot for me.

"yes my lord I will now memories the castle and report back." he saluted. I got straight to work making the other shadow papyruses and putting them on stand by till # 1 returned once he did I had already made 18 shadow papyruses and put them straight to work on cleaning the castle and left # 1 in charge continuing my work in making shadow papyruses until I had 10 more and told them to get to work on cleaning the bodies and left to find a bed room to rest once I had found the master bed room I realized it was extremely dirty here too so I created two more shadow papyruses and told them to clean the room as fast as possible and to help the others when they were finished. they did as instructed and as soon as they left I fell flat on my face and fell asleep.

shadow papyrus #1 pov...

when I had first laid eyes on my lord I had looked down on him which I learned was a mistake not a moment later when he first spoke the words that he spoke were a simple command but it was one that demanded obedience I knew not to mess with him the second he said bow. he is my king the only one I will follow the other shadows agree though they do not like that I am number one Neh heh heh only I am deserving to serve directly under my lord!

nightmare's pov...

once I had recharged my magic and had a good rest I got right back to training I put obstacles all around the castle I had learned to turn myself into goop and move at the speed of light I learned to blend in with the shadows and to even shape shift my first time shape shifting was an octopus I still think it was worth it. now all I needed to do magic wise was create portals but I was holding off on that I needed to decide who I want to negotiate with first maybe Farmtale? that way I can procure a steady income of food but what would they want in return? maybe it would be better to make connections with the destroyer now then I can take the inhabitants of aus he destroys hm but that would only work if this was the forced god of destruction not the one who just wants to destroy everything so I have to figure out what kind of multiverse this is first. ugh this is so confusing how am I going to do that!? oh wait maybe I should visit cross first? he would  be the easiest to make a deal with all he would want would be to leave his white au. yeah I should do things step by step at the very least I'll have an ally or possibly a friend to help me. yeah a friend I'll try making friends with cross he won't trust me at first but I'm sure once we become friends I can make the deal yeah! ok lets go with that its the best option I have at the moment.

I called shadow #1 to my newly made office I had done and within five minutes he came.

"yes may lord?" he asked while bowing.

"rase your head I will be leaving for a while to make a deal and I will need you in charge." I said with authority.

"a-ah may I ask why your majesty is leaving?" he said panicked.

"I am going to gain an ally through a deal and won't be back for a while and I need someone in charge is that going to be a problem?" I seriously asked.

"on no my lord everything is fine just leave it to me everything will run smoothly while you are gone!" he replied with confidence. I nodded my head.

"you may leave." once I finished my sentence he immediately left and I got to work on making a portal to xtale.

after a few attempts I seemed to be successful after a portal leading to a white au appeared. I walked through it and immediately  spotted cross. he was in a ball on the floor crying. I would be weirded out if a stranger walked up to me and hugged me so I went up to him and sat down waiting for him to calm down while normally I would find it extremely strange he did not seem to want to talk so I decided to wait instead. after a while it seemed to work.

"w-who are you?" he asked in between sobs.

"I'm nightmare may I ask who you are?" I asked and he nodded.

"I'm cross." he responded already forgotten about the tears falling down his face.
