The next day dragged on as Stiles, Scott, and Kira began their training. Sword fighting, javelin throwing, archery, pretty much any way of defense known to men of Ancient Greece. While Scott was excelling with his previous sports-strength, stiles was close to vomiting. Cardio had never been his strong suit and definitely not sword fighting... Kira on the other hand was doing just fine, drawing her bow and shooting arrows as if she'd done it her entire life. Not only that, but she was at a master's level of katana, but then again she has done that her entire life.
"The Apollo girls are calling me over, sorry guys, I'm going to train with them today." She grinned with her perfect smile and kissed Scott on the cheek. "See you guys at dinner." She said as she jogged over to the couple of girls practicing archery.
"Looks like you've been replaced, man. With five chicks." Stiles remarked to Scott. He smirked.
"Shut up." He replied, but smiled at the joke. "At least I've got a girlfriend, while you pine away at that red head chick from Athena cabin."
"Dude, someone could hear you!" Stiles playfully punched Scott's arm while glancing around the field for the girl or any of her friends. Luckily no one heard his remark as they continued to practice their combat moves.
The two both grabbed celestial bronze swords, Stiles' being Anaklusmos or riptide, his way older brother that he didn't know's hand me down sword. It turned into a pen and always reappeared in his pocket.
They began sparring. "So, you really do like her?" Scott asked?
Their swords clanged,"yeah.. I think I do. And did you see her? She was totally like mumbling when we were talking. What if she likes me too?! Oh my God-"
"Gods, stiles," Scott corrected him.
"- whatever. Anyways, what do you think.. I mean like really?" Stiles tossed Scott's correction over his shoulder and generally asked.
The swords clanged a few more times and they shifted in a circle. "I don't know. Maybe..?"
"Why are you answering with a question?! God, Scott, sometimes I feel like you're useless." Stiles sighed.
Scott patted his heart in mock hurt,"wow Stiles, you really feel that way? I'm crushed, oh so deeply crushed." He smirked before mumbling,"It's 'Gods' by the way."
"Enough with the gods thing! Like I just found out my father wasn't my real father, and I have like super powers or some shit." Clang,"don't you think it's weird we all knew each other and then we found out we're like not normal?"
Clang,"yeah, dude I was thinking that last night because I was awake wondering about my dad... And then I thought why're hell would we all just be drawn to eachother? Maybe god blood is magnetic." Stiles shook his head. Clang.
Stiles started wheezing at the excessive physical activity. "I think I'm gonna be sick." He jogged away from Scott, capping the pen and putting it in his pocket. He got to the restrooms and started heaving, nothing coming out. When he started to breathe normal, he walked out of the stall he was in and looked in one of the mirrors over the sink. He turned on the faucet and tossed some water on his face and almost immediately he felt rejuvenated, like he just drank a 500 hour energy drink.
"Woah," he said as he jogged out of the bathroom, only to run into none other than Lydia Martin and knock her and himself flat on the ground.
"What the he-" Lydia looked up to see glowing chocolatey eyes staring back at her. "Oh.. It's uhm, you."
He reached a hand down and she took it, smiling as she pushed herself off the ground. "First name, Uhm. Last name, You. That's me." He smirked as she laughed.
"Oh my Gods, that's not what I meant." She blushed and dusted herself off, re sheathing her knife that she was about to practice with.
"Why does everyone here say,'Gods'?" Stiles asked, chuckling.
"Well, there are more than one God in Greek mythology, which isn't myths btw, so therefore, the plural form of God is used, translating to Gods." Lydia smiled. "Well, I really have to go, Stiles. I'm practicing with Alli in five minutes so, yeah, bye." She tossed her ponytail over her shoulder and waved before walking towards the field that stiles was just on with Scott.
"Bye!" He shouted, watching as she jogged to her friend, who looked like she was almost, desperately watching Scott. Well, until Lydia smacked her shoulder.
"Okay. Back to training. Because that's what they-I do. Because I'm a demigod." Stiles was mumbling to himself as he returned to Scott on the field.
"Dude. What the hell are you doing? You look crazy." Scott laughed and picked up a target and hung it on a tree that already had nails in it.
"Wh-what? I was just uhm like-" Stiles cracked, "I just talked to Lydia Martin."
"Great. Who's that again? The red head?" Scott looked at his friend, amused.
"Yeah. But now that I saw her hair up close it's kind of like strawberry blonde, you know?" Stiles was generally looking somewhat perturbed at his, let's say, crush's hair color.
"Bro. Chill. You're like totally overthinking this chick." Scott mentally told himself to make sure Stiles did not get obsessed with this girl like he did over Cora. Gods damn, that boy got wrecked.
"But also, like her eyes.. They were like just wow... Did I mention her hair?"
"Yeah you did. Calm the hell down Stiles."
Stiles didn't seem to fall from the trance as he continued talking. "And her words, the way she speaks... So fluidly but also sharp, I can't seem to stop listening." Stiles was struck with a sad feeling. "Wh-what if she has a boyfriend?"
"Oh my gods! Can you just chill the fuck out? You literally just met her less than 24 hours ago. I promise I'll listen to your girl talk after we settle in and get more.. Details." Scott placed his hands on Stiles' shoulders, attempting to calm the overreacting teen. Stiles finally began to breathe at a normal rate.
"Thanks man." They bro-hugged and then continued knife throwing practice. The sun was beginning to fall over the horizon, drunk on the blue sky, ready to let the moon take over, when they finally decided to go to their cabins to get ready for, yet another, awkward dinner around a campfire where all everyone did was watch them.
