"as always, i only pray you'll never leave me behind because it'll be so hard for me to live without you. may we last longer than ever and forever. " he said as he flashed his beautiful smile with a lot of hopes in his eyes.
"what did you wish? " he asked as he cut the cake into a triangular pieces and stuffed it into my mouth. i held another piece of cake and fed him too.
"i wished for your well being. may you stay happy wherever you will be. you deserve best and so you get the best, that's all i want. " i replied with a slight smile on my face, which was genuine. i obviously wanted him to be with someone better, who could love him the way he loved me.
"what? only about me? what about you and us? " he gave me a questionable look, oh! how could i even say him that the us that we used to be was no more. but, soon the questionable look on his face was wiped off and was replaced by a sweet smile.
"omg! i never knew you loved me this much! " he kissed my forehead, making me feel more guilt than ever.
"can we watch a movie and cuddle? " he asked excitedly, to which i replied with a simple nod, not being able to answer his questions because of the guilt i had.
he wrapped his hands carefully around me, taking me in his warm embrace while enveloping the both of us inside a thin blanket.
"hayoon, can i ask something? " he asked.
"yea! "
"why am i feeling so lonely, even though i'm in your arms? "
