CHAPTER 22

ASHWIN POV : 

I lifted her in bridal style and rushed downstairs. My father saw this and enquired, but without replying I went to car, made her lay on backseat and started the car. Even appa joined us.

 In next few minutes we reached city hospital. I again lifted her to stretcher and called out for doctors. They came rushing and took her inside ICU. We both sat on the chair and waited. But what surprised me is that appa is crying. This is the first time he is crying after my mom's death. Even when Nithya died he was only depressed but did not cry. But he is crying for a girl whom he knows just for 6 months. She had made a great impact on my father. 

After few minutes doctor came out. Appa rushed to him. 

Rajashekar : Doctor...doctor en ponnuku enna aachu?

Doctor : She is alright now, Nothing to be worried. 

Appa let out a sigh of relief.

Rajashekar : naa ippo paakalama?

Doctor : Now I had given her sleeping pills. So you can see her without disturbing. She will come to conscious in 3 hours.

Appa wen inside the ward and sat near her in the chair. When I was about to go in, doctor called me.

Doctor : Mr... Neenga patient ku yaaru?

Ashwin : Naa...Hus..husband doctor.

Doctor : Ok! Come with me I need to talk to you.

I followed him in confusion. As soon as we reached his cabin, he told me to take my seat and started.

Doctor : Unga name Mr?

Ashwin : Ashwin Kumar sir.

Doctor : Mr. Ashwin Kumar, as the old man was so worried I don't want to say this before him. That's the reason I called you to my cabin.

Ashwin : Is anything serious sir?

Doctor : Yes. The patient has just fainted. But the reason behind that is important. Before that say me how is she in home normally.

Ashwin : She will be fine sir. Apa kooda neraiya time spend pannitu  jolly ah than sir iruppa.

Doctor : Then I think you didn't understand her well. She is going through a lot of mental stress. Because of stress she fainted today. 

Ashwin : Sir but there is no stress for her. She is working in limit only and she is not doing any extra works too. Then how does she gets stress?

Doctor : Mr. Ashwin, stress does not come due to over working or reduce in sleeping hours. We become stressful when we don't have peace. Even if we overwork our favourite job, we don't get stress. But we get stress when we does the job we don't like, or being a loner. That is what she is going through. I don't know what is the reason for this much stress and you should only find that. 

Ashwin : What should I do that to reduce her stress sir? 

Doctor : Try to spend more time with her. Do her favourite things. Take her for more outings. And make her mind relaxed. And moreover, when she shares her worries to you she will be stress free. Talk more to her and never leave her to overthink. And most importantly never do the things she hates. And never let her to cry. 

Ashwin : Ok doctor

Doctor : Take good care of her Ashwin. Because stress is the basement for all problems. If this stress increases, there is a chance of getting affected mentally. And very importantly, stress leads to thinking of suicide. 

Ashwin : Ok thank you doctor. Will take good care of her. 

I left his cabin and went towards her ward. She is going through all these because of me. I should be a friend to her and never leave her to be stressed. 

I entered the ward and saw appa sobbing seeing her. Oxygen tubes were connected to her body. She looked so weak and her face was very pale. 

I sat near appa and we waited for her to wake up. Meanwhile a nurse came in and said she should be under observation till today evening.

AUTHOR'S POV :

After 3 hours...

Sivaangi slowly opened her eyes and saw her appa crying like a baby. She called him weakly. 

Sivaangi : Appaaaa....

Rajashekar : Maa Sivaangi elunthurichittiya? Ethavuthu venuma? Naa doctor ah kupdava? Ethavathu uncomfortable ah irukka? 

Sivaangi : Appa, relax aagunga pa. Enakku onnum illa pa. Konjam thanni mattum kodunga. 

Rajashekar helped her to sit and gave her water. Rajashekar and Sivaangi talked normally but Ashwin sat silently as if he was a visitor for a distant relative. 

After few minutes Rajashekar noticed Ashwin sitting silently and called him. 

Rajashekar : Ashwin enna pa silent ah irukka?

Ashwin : Haan? Illa pa etho yosanaila irunthen.

Rajashekar : Seri ma. Naa kelamburen Sivaangi...

Sivaangi : Appa enga poringa? Ennayum kootitu ponga

Rajashekar : Nee inniku evening varaikum observation la irukkanum nu sollirukaanga Sivaangi.

Sivaangi : Appa ennala hospital la irukka mudiyathu..

Rajashekar : Please da thangam. Just one day Sivu... 

Sivaangi : Appa enkuda irunga pa.. 

Rajashekar : Illa ma naa poganum. Enakku hospital othukkaathu da.... Pleaseeee

Sivaangi : Ponga pa naa unga kitta kochukitten.

She said with a cute pout and turned her face aside. Rajashekar chuckled out loud. 

Rajashekar : En thangam la? Naa evening unna vanthu unna kootitu poren da.. Ippo naa poren da...

Sivaangi : Seringa pa. Paathu ponga. 

Rajashekar side hugged and kissed her forehead and went home. 

After he went the room was only filled with silence. After few minutes Ashwin broke the silence. 

Ashwin : Ippo epdi irukku? Ethavathu disturbance irukka? 

Sivaangi : Illa. Light ah body pain irukku.

Ashwin : Yen Sivaangi ipdi irukka?

Sivaangi : Naa nalla than irukken.

Ashwin : Please don't lie Sivaangi. Doctor unakku stress athigama irukku nu sonnanga. Why are you stressing yourself so much? What is your problem Sivaangi? 

Sivaangi : You very well know what is my problem

Ashwin : Atleast you can share it with me. 

Sivaangi : Why should I share it with you Ashwin? You are the one who said that I should just act as your wife. Am acting good. Now no one is around, so you can stop your acting. 

Ashwin : Am willing to be your friend Sivaangi. Please consider me as your friend. 

Sivaangi : Am not that heartless to behave arrogant. But I need some time to accept you as my friend. 

Ashwin : Ok fine. Now say me what you want now.

Sivaangi : I need breakfast. Am hungry now.

Ashwin : Ok wait. Let me buy something from canteen. 

Ashwin went to canteen to buy something and Sivaangi jumped into her pool of thoughts. 

Sivaangi mv : Ivuru nallavara kettavara?!?!? But anyway she was happy that Ashwin will be a friend to her.
