"Hey, how have you been? I'm feeling a little better than yesterday. Yuqi kept pestering me to go to the arcade after class; I said 'yes' out of pity because Soyeon-unnie couldn't hang out with her."I was able to beat her in every game, especially the zombie shooter one. I crushed her, she was speechless!
Our last game was not a competition against each other but the machine! The stupid claw machine. Let me tell you how frustrating it was to see my prize fall back into the pit. I spent almost all of my money playing!
Eventually, Yuqi got an anime plushie for her crush. I, on the other hand, got a cute corgi plushie for you. See, it even has a cherry pin on it!" Shuhua smiled.
"I wish you could be there with us. It was so much fun." She looked at the unconscious woman with sad eyes.
It's been seven months since Soojin was awake. There had seemed to be no progress on her condition, according to the countless doctors Soyeon had called to monitor her. The recent visits had ended with the practitioners saying 'it's safe to assume she's dead' or 'there's nothing we can do' and it boiled Shuhua's blood.
It was tough for her. All she could do was stand by and watch while Soojin's body lays on the bed. She doesn't have healing abilities like Soyeon nor the powers like Minnie. She was just human.
Her mind was jumbled. What was her next plan? Shuhua sat down on the bed and stared through the window, pondering on her next course of action.
She was so used to this that she hadn't noticed tears rolling down her face. She looked at the hem of her shirt and small stains were scattered on the fabric. No matter how many times she wiped her eyes, they kept going like an endless waterfall.
Soon, Haku walked into the room and over to his owner. The puppy tilted his head as he witnessed the pain Shuhua was going through. He jumped up onto her lap and sat comfortably on her legs, almost like he was consoling her.
"Thank you." She whispered to the puppy and stroked his back gently.
Then, Haku looked behind and saw Soojin's unconscious body and jumped over to sniff her. He walked all over her, which made Shuhua giggle a little bit, thinking about what Soojin might be saying right now.
"Maybe your mom will wake up if you keep doing that." The Taiwanese joked dryly.
She looked out the window and out to the balcony, then back to Soojin. She wandered outside and looked over the city before taking one last glance at her best friend.
"Please wake up, I need you."
A single tear fell down her face and landed on the pavement below.

Wake up, young child.
"Who's there?" Soojin asked into the void.
It was like she was in outer space. She was standing on what seemed like water that reflected the starry sky. As she looked around, she could see no end. It was an infinite abyss.
Do you know where you are?
Soojin turned in every direction as she heard a godly voice coming from the unknown. No matter where she looked, there was nothing.
