[ XVIII ] her savior

A few days passed and the etheria trio were called for an important meeting. After the battle at the school campus, many headlines spread across the globe and appeared on multiple platforms from news to theorist videos.

For years, the Gatekeeper associations have been keeping their work under the radar. But now that demons are starting to lurk around, the job is becoming more difficult.

"Do you really have to go?"

"Yes, it's and important meeting and I need to go." Soojin told the whining girl. She told her about it the other day, but it seems that Shuhua forgot.

"Aren't you supposed to stay by my side?" Shuhua asked, "If you're not there, who's going to watch over me when I'm at school?"

"I have a few angels who are responsible for your protection. You won't even notice them." The older woman explained as she skimmed through hangers of her nice clothes.

"But—"

"No buts, I have to go. Now if you would excuse me, I need to get changed." Soojin gently pushed the girl outside the bedroom, Shuhua's bedroom in fact. The latter pouted and made her way to the living room to get her things ready for class.

As she went to other room, she walked by the kitchen and noticed a lunch container with a pink piece of paper taped on the lid.

"Have a good lunch Shu ♡︎" the girl read the note and smiled before placing it carefully in her bag.

Then, Haku and Mata walked up behind Shuhua and wagged their tails, barking at her to get attention.

"You're other mom is a sweetheart." Shuhua crouched down to whisper to the dogs. They did a "I totally agree" bark and jumped up to the Taiwanese, begging her to play with them.

"Okay, okay, I'll play with you two."

A few minutes later, Soojin finally came out of the bathroom, looking flawlessly stunning. Totally captivating the "ethereal" beauty.

She was wearing a black, coat-looking dress along with black knee-length boots. Her makeup pulled it all together with her famous red lipstick that coloured her full lips and her eyeliner that made her eyes more cat-like.

Shuhua could hear the clacking of the woman's boots which made her pause what she was doing and perk her head upwards to look at her. Once she saw Soojin in her business attire, she did a whole scan with her eyes and then a wave of heat flushed over her face.

"She's a goddess confirmed." Shuhua said to herself, looking up and down at the woman one more time.

"Ahem, eyes up here Shu." Soojin warned.

"What type of meeting requires you to look like that?" Shuhua asked hoarsely as her throat dried up from trying not to gay panic.

"I'll be meeting other Gatekeeper organizations. We have to look our best." The woman replied as she walked over to the entrance table to collect her keys and her red clutch.

With Soojin looking the other way, Shuhua's jaw dropped at the sight of an illegally gorgeous person that was standing in front of her, heck, living with her.

"Shu? Shuhua? Yeh Shuhua." The said etheria called sternly, which made the young girl come back to reality.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she waved her hand in the girl's face. She was barely a foot distance from her and Shuhua could observe all of her beautiful features from her chocolate eyes to her luscious lips. She was literally suffocating.
