Regina's POV
My car enters my driveway before I put it in to park. Ms Swan's disaster bug is out on the street, but the woman herself is standing in front of the door to my house. She's got Henry's jacket in her grip, with her arms folded together. I watch my son rush out of the car seat and jump into her arms. A twinge of jealousy enters my heart at that moment. What makes her deserve that affection and not me? Haven't I changed? What more do these heroes want?
"Regina? Are we ready to go inside?" Emma's voice says, as she gives me a look of simpathy and understanding. Had she heard my thoughts? Or...? No. She read my thoughts. Thats all there is to it.
I pull out my house key and insert it into the keyhole. As I do so, I conjure up some of my magic to create a sublime dinner for the three of us. The door swings open and...
"Oh wow, Regina. That is amazing!!" I hear my archnemisis gasp in wonder.
Strangely, it touches my heart that I received a complement from the woman. Perhaps I like it more than a death threat at my throat. Yes. That must be why.
"Why thank you, Ms. Swan." I say with utmost pride.
I watch her as she turns to my son. "Hey kid, here's your jacket. Make sure you remember it next time. And try not to get it so dirty. I had to listen to the whines of Snow White, supposed lover of cleaning. An believe me, she is not a pleasant person to be around with when you see her like that."
That's a sight to behold. I think.
Yes well. You would love to see that, wouldn't you.
Oh right. Forgot about the mind reading thing we had.
Escaping my thoughts, I announce. "So. Shall we have dinner now? Henry, go wash your hands and take a seat at the table. Ms. Swan, you too will wash your hands, but will be helping me out in the kitchen."
She is currently wearing a face of uncertainty and anxiousness at those words.
W-what will I be h-helping you with, exactly?
Don't worry. Its nothing bad. And how on earth did you manage to stutter in your own thoughts?
Um...I dunno. It just happened.
Right. Well. Come here and help me.
Ok.
"Henry go do as you're told now." I say, watching his every move like a hawk, as he rushes off to do exactly that.
----------------------------------------------Emma's POV
Ok. So I've washed my hands and am ready to do whatever it is Regina has in store for me. As I step into the kitchen, I am greeted with a very large, very hot and delicious roast swan. Regina has her back turned to me at the sink, doing whatever it is she is doing.
I take another glance at the swan. Roast swan. Roast Swan. Was what Regina had in front of me some form of hint to what she wanted to do with me? I swallow hard and shudder slightly.
Already jumpy, Regina does the worst thing possible. She turns around with 2 very sharp knives and says "I'm going to cut the swan now."
With lightning speed I lunge at Regina, the knives splaying across the floor with a shutter as her back slams onto the floor. Shock is shown all over her features and suddenly I realise it was all a mistake.
"G-Get off Ms. Swan!!" She barely makes out.
I jump up off of her instantly."S-Sorry, Regina. I..." I try to explain, rubbing my back guiltily.
